I’ve used a lot of lip liners. For example, I love the Kat Von D’s Everlasting Lip Liners, Clarins Four Colored Liners in One Pen, and the Givenchy Universal Lip Liner. However, I’ve never before seen a lip liner in a felt tip couture pen. Recently, Dior launched a new lipstick and lip liner collection for Fall 2018 called Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge. The Rouge Dior Felt Tip Ink Lip Liner is “the first liquid lip liner in a couture pen”. In addition, it comes in twelve shades. What is more, each shade has a new Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge lipstick counterpart.
You can find the Christian Dior Rouge Dior Felt Tip Ink Lip Liners on the Dior Website, Nordstrom, Dillards, Neiman Marcus and Sephora. And, the Felt Tip Ink Lip Liner retails for $32.
Rouge Dior Felt Tip Ink Lip Liner Packaging
To begin with, the packaging seems very sophisticated.
The reason for this is, the ink pen has a narrow felt tip. Also, high impact pigments allow you to make a perfect outline on your lips.
Additionally, you can use the side of the felt tip to fully fill in your lips. In this way it is more pen than marker.
In fact, you could even mistake it for your felt-tipped liquid eyeliner.
Rouge Dior Felt Tip Ink Lip Liner Formula
First, high impact pigments create the liner’s intense colors. Next, all of the shades have a matte finish. Furthermore, the colors are more of a stain than an opaque color. However, the shades are buildable.
The ink texture of the liners delivers ultra-precise results.
In other words, the pen is easy to use. Furthermore, the liner promises to last for up to 12 hours. I’ve only had it on for a few hours, and it hasn’t faded yet. Also, I had no transfer while eating ravioli for dinner, and a glass of water.
Rouge Dior Felt Tip Ink Lip Liner Shades
First, 028 Atrice is a peachy coral shade that has a matte finish. Next, 325 Tender is a rosy brick shade with a matte finish. Also, 434 Promenade is a mid-tone pink shade with a matte finish. In addition, 743, Rouge Zinnia is a rosy wine shade with a matte finish. Furthermore, 770 Love is a deep pink shade with a matte finish. Additionally, 843 Crave is a dark brown- red shade with a matte finish. Next, 789 Star is a purple berry matte shade. 962 Poison is a deep plum matte . 777 Star is a flame orange shade with a matte finish.
The two shades I purchased are 851 Shock, a deep CHOCOLATE-RED WINE shade with a matte finish. Also, I purchased 999, the CLASSIC DIOR RED shade with a matte finish.
Rouge Dior Felt Tip Ink Lip Liner Last But Not Least…..
To begin with, why would we wear a lip liner? First of all, we want to add definition to our lips.
For example. a lip liner can enhance thin lips, and even give you the perfect shaped Cupid’s Bow. Also, a lip liner will prevent your lipstick from feathering. Another reason we wear lip color is, when we fill in our lips with the liner, it creates a base for your lipstick to adhere to. Above all, it prolongs the wear of any lip color.
Lining you lips is easy. First, prep your lips with a lip balm. The reason for this is to hydrate your lips. Then blot your lips with a tissue. I always start in the middle, on my Cupid’s bow, Usually, I start on one side of the bow and use short strokes, then I match up the other side. Usually, it is a good idea to follow your natural lip shape. However, sometime’s you may want to exaggerate your lip shape. You don’t need to press hard. Instead, press softly, and move slowly. Next, for seamless pigment, use the liner to color in your lips. Then, you are ready to apply your lipstick. Last of all, use a moist Q-tip to clean up any mistakes!
Finally, the Rouge Dior Lip Liners are awesome when used on their own.
However, you can layer the New Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge Lipstick on top. The result will be a more intense color. However, you’ll still have color when the lipstick fades!
