Every year I look forward to the Holiday Makeup Collections. Even more, I can’t wait to see what some of my favorite brands are going to offer. For example, this is the time I jump on anything Pat McGrath, Chanel, and Natasha Denona comes out with. Although, have you noticed that 2020 Holiday Makeup Collections shrunk. These highly anticipated holiday collections aren’t as plentiful. Instead, the collections have edited the amount of products in the collection. I’ve seen this with the Natasha Denona I Need A Nude Collection. It includes the Zendo mini eyeshadow palette, two very nude lipsticks, and a Nude Glow Highlighter.
You can find the entire Natasha Denona I Need a Nude Collection at Sephora, Beautylish, and on the Natasha Denona Website. The Nude Glow Highlight (0.35 oz./10g) costs $42.
Natasha Denona I Need A Nude Glow Highlighter And The Rest Of The Collection Perfect For A Pandemic
For example, the Mini Zendo Palette would been full-sized in a pre-epidemic season. Or, on the other hand, there would have been two or three mini palettes. Definitely, there would be more than two nude lipstick shades. For example, I wouldn’t look good in either of the nude shades. There would be a broader range of nude lipstick shades. What about the holiday lip glosses? Where are they? Everyone loves shiny lip glosses for the holidays. Finally, aside from the Nude Glow Highlighter, which is perfect for medium and darker complexions, there should be a highlighter that caters to the fair, and light complexions. See what I mean?
Usually, holiday makeup collections are colorful, glittery and metallic. Items in the collections used to include way more lipsticks. Also, it is normal to see some holiday lip glosses in the collection. How about an eye liner? Maybe some fun brushes? And a fun, fabulous eyeshadow palette. And, lots of glittery highlighters.
Unfortunately, this is the first year I can honestly say I am disappointed in some of the collections. So far, I’ve found that the earlier holiday releases are underwhelming. And, they are scaled way down. Although, I understand why. Don’t you? The reason is that this Pandemic isn’t ending anytime soon. So, holidays are going to be spent virtually. They already told us to have Zoom Thanksgiving Dinner. We haven’t even talked about Christmas yet! So, life is different. We don’t get dressed up anymore. So, we don’t need to wear lots of glittery makeup. I’m usually in a sweatshirt and sweatpants! Nude makeup is starting to make more sense.
Natasha Denona I Need A Nude Glow Highlighter Packaging
First of all, Natasha Denona Packaging is luxurious. Also, the compact is high quality. To start with, the Nude Glow Highlighter comes packaged in a sturdy rose-gold case. Next, inside there is a nice big mirror on one side. On the other side is the large pan of powder highlighter. I love that the powder is embossed with Natasha Denona’s initials, and the most beautiful architectural design. Last, the compact has a strong magnetic closure.
Natasha Denona I Need A Nude Glow Highlighter What Is It?
To begin with, the Nude Glow Highlighter is a limited edition, metallic highlighting powder. It gives your skin a radiant glow. The formula is without glitter and shimmer. Instead, you are left with a multidimensional, metallic finish that has an intense sheen. Also, I don’t think that this is a universal highlighter. In fact, I think if you have medium to deep complexions, it is a great shade for you. Although, if you are fair, to light, this is too dark for you.
Nude Glow Highlighter Shade
The Nude Glow Highlighter, a medium champagne gold shade, with a rosy undertone, has an intense sheen finish.
The Formula For The Nude Glow Highlighter
The Nude Glow Highlighter formula is the same as the Glow Impact formula in the Tan Bronzed Glow Palette. First, the formula is lightweight. Two, it has a velvety smooth texture. In other words, it has a second skin finish. The pressed powder formula is buildable, therefore it can be layered. Even more, you can wear this either wet or dry. The pigments are intense, which makes the powder intense. However, you can also sheer the color out. The texture is a bit dry. Therefore, use a synthetic stiff brush to be able to pick up the product.
My Final Thoughts On The Natasha Denona Nude Glow Highlighter…..
Finally, I love this highlighter. One reason is it looks so smooth on my skin, and it doesn’t emphasize any skin texture. The final look of the highlighter is stunning. It may look like a champagne gold shade at first sight. However, even compared to other champagne gold highlighters, this one truly has a rosy finish. The formula is long-wearing. And, I love that Natasha Denona is a cruelty-free brand.
I have to apologize for sounding so pessimistic when it comes to the holidays. If any of you are feeling the same way, try to remember that we can’t do anything about the circumstances we are in right now. That is impossible. Instead, we have to take a breath, and choose not to allow the uncontrollable event to dominate us. Remember, the way you respond is way more powerful than your present circumstances! So, don’t be sad. Choose to let go, breathe, and change your response. Be happy you are here, healthy, and grateful for all the good things in your life.
