We wear blush as” just blush”. And, we wear eyeshadow as “just eyeshadow!” Isn’t lipstick “just lipstick?” Not according to Swedish makeup artist, Linda Hallberg! In fact her very first palette, the award winning LH Cosmetics Infinity Palette, is a multi use product where colors are just colors! Linda Hallberg created an 8 shade palette that is bound by NO RULES! As a result, the Infinity Palette shades can be used however you want, which includes detailed eyework, eyeshadow, sculpting and highlighting your face, adding a nice glow to your face, and giving color to your cheeks. You can use it on your body. The rule is there are no rules! Above all, the Infinity Palette has won several awards for being the ultimate multi-use product!
You can find the LH Cosmetics Award Winning Infinity Palette on the Linda Hallberg Cosmetics Website. The LH Infinity Palette ( 8 X 1.2 oz. / 3.5g ) costs $43.64 US Dollars plus shipping.
Packaging
The sleek outer box , a matte black cardboard, has silver writing. The LH, Linda Hallberg Logo, is front and center on the outside of the outer box, and on the heavy cardboard palette. Also, the palette is exactly like the outer box, on both the front and back. Lift the lid up to open the palette. To close the case, gently press down on the lid, and you will feel the strong magnetic closure grab and close the lid. And, the magnetic closure will prevent the palette from opening. Inside, underneath the lid is a nice-sized mirror. On the other side of the palette are the eight eyeshadow pans, arranged in two rows, of four shades. The eyeshadow pans are quite large, large enough to put a blush brush, or powder brush in them. Also, the palette is sleek, thin, and lightweight. Hence, the palette is travel-worthy.
The Formula
The formula, pressed powder and pigments, is nicely pigmented. Also, the shades are easy to apply, easy to layer, and they are buildable. The shades are long-wearing. I had no problem with fallout- you have to expect some dust when you are dealing with powder. The formula is a wet or dry formula. In other words, you can use the shades dry, or apply the shades with a damp brush, or sponge. Finally, the shades are soft and silky smooth. Glycerin has a widespread of applications in the cosmetics industry for a reason. It offers consumers an array of benefits. The main benefit of using glycerin on the skin is its hydrating ability. This humectant prevents water from evaporating, which keeps the skin hydrated longer. Lines and wrinkles become less noticeable when glycerin is applied to the skin. Glycerin provides extra moisture, which provides more volume. This anti-aging benefit makes glycerin a popular choice among companies.
Did you know that glycerin can heal skin? When glycerin is applied, it helps cells grow faster, which, in turn, speeds up the healing process. Psoriasis, eczema, and bruising can be counteracted with glycerin. Glycerin also provides an extra layer of protection to the skin. It increases epidermal layer thickness keeping moisture locked in and harmful environmental and chemical elements out.
Glycerin and Sunflower Seed oil both act as emollient agents in cosmetic products. This is made possible by its high concentrations of oils (i.e. oleic acid, linoleic acid) and Vitamin E. Skin benefits of sunflower oil include: improving skin hydration and providing antioxidant protection. Also, it makes the pressed pigments softer, and allow them to apply to your face more easily, and not chalky! The shades has a slip to them, which is due to these good for you ingredients.
The Shades
The colors are arranged in two horizontal rows of four colors each row. Also, 4 colors are warm toned, and 4 colors are cool toned. Row one across the whole row, the four shades are warm tones. Row two, across, the four shades are cool shades.
Row 1 Across (Left to Right)
The Warm Shades are Virgo, Andromeda, Maffei, Zwicky
Virgo
Virgo, a warm golden powder, has a high shine finish. Wear Virgo as a highlighter on your cheekbones, your brow bones, Cupid’s bow, and down the center of your face. Also, wear Virgo on your eyelids, inner corners of your eyes, etc.
Andromeda
Andromeda, a pink shade, with a warm gold undertone, has a shimmering finish. This pink shade with gold undertones can be worn on your cheeks, eyelids, eye crease, etc.
Maffei
Maffei, a warm beige shade, has a velvet matte finish. One way I would wear this velvet matte beige is as a shadow base, all over the eyes. Also, this is a great transition shade.
Zwicky
Zwicky, a warm brown color with gold undertones, has a matte finish. First, I would wear this shade to contour my cheeks, in the hollows of the cheeks, jawbone, forehead, and sides of nose. Also, I would wear this shade either on my eyelids, in the crease of the eye, and to line my lower lash lines.
Row 2 Across (Left to Right)
The cool shades are Milky Way, Pinwheel, Cigar and Fornax.
Milky Way
Milky Way, a cool silver powder, has a high shine. I like it worn on the eyelids. Also, put Milky Way on the inner corner of your eyes. Try some on your brow bones. Wear this silver shade with a high shine as a highlighter on your cheekbones.
Pinwheel
Pinwheel, a cold silvery pink shade, has a shimmering finish. Wear Pinwheel on your eyelids, in your crease, to line your lower and upper lash lines. I love this shade as your blush, and bring it up to your temples, and dab it on the outer end of your brow bones.
Cigar
Cigar, a cool grey-brown powder, has a matte finish. Wear this shade to line and define. your eyes, in your crease, outer corners, and lower lash lines. For me, I would use this powder on my eyebrows.
Fornax
Fornax, a cool, nearly black shade, has a matte finish. If you have dark hair and eyebrows, you can touch up any greys in your hair, and wear Fornax on your eyebrows. Also, line and define your eyes. Wear it as an eyeshadow shade, in your crease, and on the outer corners of your eyes.
My Final Thoughts
At first, I was like, what is so great about this palette? Well, I learned quickly, that this is your perfect palette. You really don’t need another thing, besides mascara and lipstick! It really is great for travel. Also, it is perfect to contour and highlight your face. You can do your eyebrows, blush, hair, cheeks, eyes, and the list goes on and on. Plus it is a great companion palette to any of your other palettes. LH Cosmetics products are so good, if you love liquid eyeshadows, you must try the LH Interstellar eye shadows! I am getting sidetracked, so back to the Infinity Palette, everyone should have one great multi-purpose palette that does it all!
