Hello Week! Just another Manic Monday……s0 ……Let’s Do This!
I was at Neiman Marcus a few weeks ago, to get ready for my trip to Italy and London, and I wanted to try a new foundation for the summer. Jason, from the King of Prussia store, was helping me because Meribeth was off that day. I told Jason I needed a summer, lightweight foundation (that would hold up in the smoldering Italian Heat) that had good coverage and I wanted it to make my skin look luminous. Jason took me right to the Cle de Peau Beaute counter where he insisted that Cle de Peau Beaute Radiant Fluid Foundation ($125) was exactly what I was looking for.
Cle de Peau Fluid Foundation is a liquid based fluid foundation that has a Broad Spectrum SPF 24 Sunscreen. According to Cle de Peau Beaute :
- This formula is both moisturizing and long-lasting and it has subtle illuminating properties
- It contains New Micro Facets Technology which allows light to be diffused from different angles
- It contains New Day Matching Powder that prevents and regulates a shine throughout the day.
- It also has Illuminating Complex which promotes moisture stabilization, reduces cellular stress, and regulates cell turnover. It also improves the skin’s barrier function.
It comes packaged in a dark navy blue plastic pump bottle with a gold lid. It doesn’t look like a bottle that is holding a $125 luxury beauty foundation inside. A wee bit more luxury in the packaging would really make a big difference with the sales of this product. However, Cle de Peau must believe that their formula and their product, and their fancy name is enough! Well, enough negativity on my part, because even with the expensive price tag of $125, this foundation is amazing. I can only rave from here on in.
Two pumps is all I need for a dewy, glowing veil on my face. It doesn’t feel heavy, oily or greasy. It is long, all day long, wearing! It gives me enough coverage that it is optional whether or not I wear a concealer. I get a gorgeous finish with just the foundation!
What I love about Cle de Peau Fluid Foundation is ……. the formula is remarkable because it is really light weight and yet it is nicely pigmented. It is remarkable that the coverage is so light and yet I get amazing coverage. It is a build-able coverage. It feels silky on the skin, and it glides on easily. I love the dewy glow, the luminosity, and the even skin-tone this foundation affords me. It is never cakey or thick. It doesn’t settle into my fine lines, wrinkles, or pores. It didn’t melt all over my face in the extreme summer heat of Italy! And last but not least, and very important, it has an SPF 24 Broad Spectrum Sunscreen. And it is made in the USA. All in all a gorgeous foundation. If you can afford it, you will love it!
