You’re Kidding -Right ? Striping….What’s That?

Are you sitting down? Well, listen up because Striping is about to become the next latest and greatest trend. I know! We were just getting the hang of contouring and highlighting (which requires a lot of prep time), and then strobing came along, and we were barely getting a handle on that one. So what the …? Striping ? Striping will become very popular this summer, and the reason for that is it is quick and easy to do! And it is a newer, fresher and a more natural way to define your cheekbones. Yes, say good-bye to that hour long prep time your extensive beauty routine required (the one that we are all so tired of), and say hello to the one minute it will take you to achieve a sun-kissed glowing summer look.

All you need is a bronzer. That’s all it takes to achieve definition without it being exaggerated. By just applying bronzer on your cheekbones – from cheekbone to cheekbone – you will have that gorgeous natural flush that looks like you were out in the sun.

The Four Steps To Striping Are:

1. Prep your skin with a moisturizer
2. Put your foundation on with a buffing brush-so that you look airbrushed

3. Use a Liquid or Cream Bronzer – they give the skin a realistic finish (and we want to look like we were naturally sun-kissed). It is very important to use a bronzer brush specifically – because you don’t want the the brush picking up too much of the product. Also, for the most natural looking results- you don’t want to use a bronzer that has a lot of shimmer.
4. Now for the Striping…Pick a side of your face. Find the highest and roundest part of your cheek. Start at the highest part and continue blending in a straight line over your nose and onto the other cheek. You must blend the bronzer really well so the stripe fades as it goes outward. The most color should be in the middle of the stripe. You can use a damp beauty blender sponge to finish the look and give it a really natural glow.

I used Giorgio Armani’s Maestro Liquid Summer 100 with an SPF 15 (Saks Fifth Avenue for $64.00) to do the striping technique on myself. I know it seems expensive, but honestly you only use one or two drops to achieve this particular look.This bronzer is great for other uses too. You can use it as a face bronzer, you can add a few drops to your foundation to make it darker,or you can use it to contour your face. I am all about a natural looking bronzer, and Maestro Liquid Bronzer would be an awesome addition to any makeup collection. It is great in terms of application because it blends effortlessly without smearing. The color is so natural-actually it is without a doubt the most natural bronzer for a fake summer tan that I have ever tried. It adds the perfect warmth for that sun-kissed glow we all are trying to achieve. It really will make you look like a Greek Goddess! Also, it’s smooth finish is so light it goes on like a second skin.
