Hello Monday! So, I’ve been using the new Tatcha Underlight Eye Treatment Pearl over the weekend. First and foremost it is an eye treatment. Second, it provides under-lighting for your eyes. Therefore, it is also a makeup. Hence, I consider “The Pearl” ($48) a hybrid formula. However, it is not, nor does it claim to be, a concealer.
Tatcha Underlight Eye Treatment Pearl Packaging
First of all, I love the way this cream is packaged. It is so pretty. And, the jar is an opalescent, lilac shade. In fact, it looks like a luminous, lilac pearl. Also,in the center of the pearl is a beautiful shiny, lilac button. In addition, it has the Tatcha logo etched in it. The jar is a twist off, screw on jar. (And, the button is just for decoration!) Actually, the jar is too pretty to keep in a cabinet. So, I am going to leave it sit on my vanity.
Tatcha Underlight Eye Treatment Pearl Shades
The eye treatment comes in three shades. First, moonlight is the lightest shade. Therefore, if your skin is fair to light, moonlight is your shade. Next, Softlight is the medium shade. Hence, since I am medium with olive undertones, Softlight is the perfect shade. Third, the candlelight shade is the darkest shade. Therefore, Candlelight is the shade for you if you have tan skin or a darker complexion.

Tatcha Underlight Eye Treatment Pearl Formula
As far as treatment is concerned, The Pearl addresses two issues. First, it supports your skin’s natural collagen production. Second, it inhibits hyper-pigmentation. Also included in the formula, Niacinamide works to visibly brighten and firm the delicate skin under the eye. Furthermore, silk powder is another ingredient, that smooths fine lines and imperfections. In addition, a blend of botanical extracts protects the skin from makeup and pollution. And, Hadasei 3 powers The Pearl’s formula. To explain, Hadasei 3 is a trio of Japanese superfoods. Finally, hyaluronic acid nourishes and hydrates the delicate skin under the eyes.
Last But Not Least
Immediately, my short-term results were amazing. First, my eyes looked wide awake. Second, they felt moisturized. Third, what I loved most, the area under my eyes looked luminous and bright. Also, the formula did not settle in my fine lines. However, I haven’t used the product long enough to see any long-term results. Unfortunately, as with any eye cream, it takes at least four to six weeks of use to notice any long-term results.
So, what do you think about this hybrid underlighter, treatment? It will bring light and hydration under your eyes. However, it is not a concealer!!!! So, do not expect it to cover like a concealer. Let me know what you think in the comment section below! Have a great week!
xoxo
