We haven’t yet gone back to our normal lives. Also, we probably won’t come anywhere near normal for some time. One way we see the effects of social distancing and masking up, is our makeup. In fact, I just learned that Becca is going out of business. Other brands are accommodating our new lifestyles. For example, makeup is made easy with new hybrids, like Bobbi Brown’s Jones Road Miracle Balm. One,it is a skin balm with good for your skin ingredients. Also, it is a skin tint makeup. Now, Stila has followed suit with the Stila Tinted Moisture Skin Balm. Another innovative skincare/makeup, the Tinted Moisture SkinBrand, helps to restore your skin’s natural moisture balance. Even more, it provides sheer to medium coverage and gives you a natural, sheen finish.
You can find the Stila Tinted Moisture Skin Balm at Ulta, Macy’s, Beautylish, Nordstrom, and Revolve. Also, the Tinted Skin Balm (0.35 oz. / 10g) costs $32.
The Stila Tinted Moisture Skin Balm Packaging
First, the balm comes in a round, gold compact.
Inside, underneath the lid, is a round mirror. Opposite the mirror, is the round tinted balm pan. Also, to open the compact, simply lift up the lid.
Then, to close, push the lid down. The reason it stays closed is it has a strong magnetic closure. As a result, the compact is perfect for travel, or throw it in your handbag for touch-ups.
The Formula For The Stila Tinted Moisture Skin Balm

To begin with, the formula for the Stila Tinted Skin Balm was designed for sensitive skin. Therefore, any skin type can wear this balm. Next, it has an innovative skincare/makeup blend of Castor Seed Oil,Sunflower Seed Oil, and Safflower Seed OiL. As a result, the formula helps to restore the skin’s natural balance. Also, Vitamins C and E provide antioxidant protection. Last, the formula includes natural extract, rice bran, rosemary leaf, camilla leaf, and grape seed to help even your skintone, and hydrate your skin.
The Stila Tinted Moisture Skin Balm Shades
First of all, the Balm comes in 8 shades, ranging from 1.0 to 8.0. Since my skin is medium with neutral undertones, I chose shade 4.0.
Even more, 4.0 , a neutral tinted balm , is for medium skin tones.
Additionally, the shades are sheer. However, they are buildable.

Once you build the shade, it has a medium coverage. Finally, I love that the finish is a natural gleem. In fact, I consider the finish to be glowing. And,

my skin looks dewy.
My Final Thoughts On The Stila Tinted Moisture Skin Balm……
To begin with, the brand suggests you apply the balm with a fluffy brush. I suggest you choose a brush with denser bristles than a fluffy brush, but not as dense as the bristles on a foundation brush. For one thing, it was difficult to pick up the balm with the brush. In fact, I really had to dig to get enough balm on the brush for sheer coverage. Although, you could use your fingers, and spot the balm where you want it. Then, take your brush and use tiny strokes to blend it onto your skin.
One thing to remember, this is a balm. It won’t blend, or meld into your skin. It is oil-based, and will sit on your skin. Also, the formula is very, very sheer. I consider this to be sheer to light coverage. Another thing I did like about the balm is it didn’t fade out, and lasted a long time.

My skin looked dewy throughout the day. For me, this is something I would use at home, during the day. I have a hard time with tints. I like a lot more coverage. Although, in the summer, it would be nice to use, if I had a tan. It does make my skin glow. And, it does protect the natural barrier of the skin. You decide.
I’m thinking that by the end of this pandemic, we are going to want makeup that looks and acts like makeup. We will be in for more dramatic looks. I can’t wait for that! How about you? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
