I recently read somewhere that we should not be using eye creams on our eyelids, nor should we be using an eye cream anywhere near our eyes before we go to sleep. I have always put on eye cream before bed, and never had a problem. Many skincare companies suggest that you not put eye creams on your upper eyelids, period, because you could suffer from symptoms that cause discomfort, and other adverse reactions . It also could sting your eyes (the theory being that creams can penetrate the thin skin of the lids and go directly in your eyes) , cause a sensitivity to light, or create the inability to keep your eyes open.
