The newest item from the Item Beauty Brand, Blushin’ LIke, is a cream blush (or is it?). Cofounder and TIK TOK STAR , Addison Rae founded the Item Beauty Brand when she realized that her Gen Z fans want authentic brands, and the Gen Z Customer wants to enhance what they have, instead of covering up what they have. Item Beauty is a fresh fix for your look & life made with clean, science-backed ingredients free of anything harmful to your skin or the planet. Cruelty-free. It claims to be all good things. The only thing I am not so sure about is, is it a cream blush….really? So keep reading to find out what the story is with this cream blush!
You can find the Item Cream Blush at Sephora, and on the Item Beauty Website. The Blushin’ LIke Cream Blush (0.1 oz. / 4g) costs $16.
The packaging box is interesting, because it has a zipper, that unzips the box.
ON the inside of the zipper, the saying says “a dose of self love”. The round, plastic compact lid is a light grey that ombres to a peach shade.
The opening simply lifts up, where you will hear a click. Then, to close, simply push down on the lid until you hear a click.
Inside, the compact has a full-sized round mirror underneath the lid. On the other side of the mirror, is the blush pan, a circular pan embedded in to the clear peach plastic base of the compact. The small compact fits into the palm of your hand. Therefore, you can pretty much carry it in your jeans pocket. Very Travel Worthy!

The formula is supposed to be a cream to matte powder. The formula is hydrating, Vegan, Cruelty Free, and Clean at Sephora. The Formula Highlighted ingredients include Squalane, Kiwi Seed OIl, and Cellulose. Squalane Is used to hydrate the skin, without it feeling greasy. KIwi Seed OIl is a natural moisturizer that leaves a dewy, bouncy color. Cellulose Gives you a soft focus effect. The formula is richly pigmented. Also, the formula is buildable for rich color payoff. And, the blush goes on dewy and finished like a powder. The brand suggests you use your fingertips to apply a subtle wash of color. I prefer applying the blush with a blush brush. The coverage goes from sheer to medium.
I have never experienced a blush formula such as this one. It is not a cream blush as I know it. It is more a silky, soft powder, than a cream as I know cream. It reminds me of a ColourPop Blush, which is similarly bouncy, and cushiony, with a silky, soft powdery feel. So, I am going to go with: the formula, a cream/soft silky powder hybrid, that turns to powder once applied. It really is a nice formula, whatever it is! I can’t get over how silky soft it feels on my skin.

The Blushin’ LIke Cream Blush comes in five shades. Two shades, I didn’t purchase, are It’s Verified, a cool mauve shade, with a natural, matte finish; and Oopsies,a sweet pink shade, with a natural, matte finish. The shades I purchased are Admit It, I’m Crushin’, and Bad Bleep.
Admit It, a cool mauve shade, has a luminous, matte finish.
I’m Crushin’, a hot poppy shade, has a luminous, matte finish.
Bad Bleep, a rich berry shade, has a natural, matte finish.

I purchased three of the five shades. Two shades had more luminosity, than the third (Bad Bleep Shade) which was a natural matte shade. The Admit It, and I’m Crushin shades will gave my face a glowing finish. The Bad Bleep shade is a more traditional matte shade. All of the shades are really beautiful, and long-wearing. Also, you can wear the Blush on your lips!
