Natasha Denona Limited Edition Mini Pastel Palette

Last Spring, Natasha Denona successfully launched the 15 shade, mid-sized limited edition Natasha Denona  Midi Pastel Palette., and the cost for the palette was $65.  Now, right after New Years, Natasha Denona released a new, limited edition Mini Pastel Palette, 5 shades for $27.  Do you need this palette?  Maybe.

If you already own last Spring’s Pastel Palette, and love it, you may want to try the five new limited edition shades-shades you do not have.  Also, these 5 new shades pair perfectly with the original Pastel Palette. And, the new mini Pastel Edition shades appear to have  more intense color payoff than their predecessors. Another reason I suggest you may want to try the mini pastels is the fact that $65 may be too much money to spend, especially for 15 pastel shadows.  On the other hand, $27 for five shadows is more reasonable.  Chances are, you probably would only wear maybe five of the fifteen shadows in the larger palette, anyways.  Or, if you are a fan of Natasha Denona, and you have every palette she has ever made, you’ll want this.  Putting all this aside, It happens to be a beautiful palette, the five shades are gorgeous, with a lot of shimmer, which I love.  You can create subtle or statement looks with these five shades.  Plus, these 5 shades work well on all skin tones. Even more, their is this cobalt blue sparkling metallic shade and a duochrome that are awesome.  I was excited when the palette arrived!

You can find the Natasha Denona Mini Pastel Palette at Sephora or on the Natasha Denona Website.  The Mini Pastel Palette (5x 0.028 oz./0.8g) costs $27.  Did the price of ND mini palettes go up $2?

The Mini Pastel Palette comes in a mint green box, with a picture of the shades on the front of the box, and the ingredients and the name of the shades on the back.  Also, the box is recyclable. The plastic case is mint green, with a clear sturdy plastic lid so you can see the five shadows in their pans.  The case has a special mechanism that you can feel when you open the case, and when you close the case, it actually closes as if it had a magnetic closure, but it doesn’t.   Also, it is difficult to read the back of the case.  The palette is great for travel.

The pressed powder formulas are long-wearing, a creamy matte, a duochrome, and metallic finishes.  The shadows have shades that are pigmented,  creating richly saturated colors.  Also, for more intensity, the shades are buildable. And, the shadows blend seamlessly, and effortlessly.  Also, the shadows are long-lasting.

The Shades

The shades are Aurora (468 DC), Twiggy (469 M), Ontario (470 M), Ari (471 CM), and Sea Star (472 SM).

Aurora (468 DC)

Aurora, a mint shade with gold and pink shifts, has a duochrome finish.

Twiggy (469 M)

Twiggy, an ice baby pink shade, has a metallic finish.

Ontario (470 M)

Ontario, an icy sky blue shade, has a metallic finish.

Ari (471 CM)

Ari, an aqua-green shade, has a creamy matte finish.

Sea Star (472 SM)

Sea Star, a muted cobalt blue shade, has a sparkling metallic finish.

The thing I love most about these shades is their rich color intensity, which, for me, are more wearable than some of the lighter powdery pastels in the Midi Pastel Palette. Always, I love Natasha Denona formulas, as her duochromes, metallics, and creamy matte finishes are easy to work with, apply effortlessly, and for even more high color payoff, or a foiled finish, you can use a damp brush to apply the duochrome or metallic shades. Plus, I feel that this palette is wearable in winter months, as well as spring and summer.  The Midi Palette seems to be more of a spring/summer palette.  Finally, I can see the palette on a fairest of the fair skintone, to the deepest deep skintone, which is another reason this is a great mini pastel palette.
