Do you wear blush? For one thing, everyone should wear blush! Most important, the reason everyone should wear blush is, blush has the ability, and the power, to brighten up your face! As I result, I love blush. In fact, I don’t feel complete without it. Therefore, blush is my favorite cosmetic! I love it when new blush comes out. Before the Holidays, Nars released ten new shades of their Iconic Blush. Afterwards, Nars released the Afterglow Collection. Moreover, the collection includes an eyeshadow palette, a lip balm, and the New, limited edition, Nars Overlust Cheek Palette. Of course, I had to have the new Nars Overlust Cheek Palette! The palette has six shade, in two formulas. First, there are three powder blushes. Next, there are three highlighters. Moreover, the highlighters come in a brand new formula.
You can find the New Nars Overlust Cheek Palette at Sephora, and on the Nars Cosmetics Website. And, the palette costs $59.
Packaging For The New Limited Edition Nars Overlust Cheek Palette

To start, the outer packaging, a flashy metallic pink shade, has Nars written in Silver. On the other side, the outer box has a photo, of the inside the Overlust Palette.

Additionally, on the back of the box are the ingredients for the shades in the palette.

Also, the front of the palette is a flashy metallic pink shade. Moreover, the front of the palette has the raised waves, that we’ve seen on other Nars’ Palettes! Also, the front of the palette, a metallic pink shade, has Nars written in Silver.

And, the back of the palette has the names, and locations of the six shades.

Inside the palette has a full-sized mirror. On the other side of the mirror, are the six pans. The top row, across, are the three highlighters. The bottom row are the three blush shades.

The Formula For the Nars Overlust Cheek Palette

To begin with, the three highlighters have a brand new formula. Therefore, the three highlighters have a gel to powder formula that features Skin Fused Technology.First, the highlighters have a lustrous, Pearlescent finish. Therefore, the highlighters glide on easily. And, if you want to amp up the blush, you can layer the highlighters under or over them. As a result, the finish is like a second skin.

Moreover, the blush has a pressed-powder formula. Although the blushes feel creamy, they do have some powder fallout. They are easy to blend. Also, the blush has rich pigments. Furthermore, you can wear either formula alone, or you can layer the formulas together. Finally, the shades are easy to build.

The Highlighters

Tied Up

First, Tied Up, a champagne shade, has a shimmering finish. I would even wear this shade on my eyes, to illuminate my eyelids. Also, I love this shade worn on the upper cheekbones. Even more, mix this shade with one of the blushes, to add more dimension to them.
Deep Down

Next, Deep Down, a golden bronze shade, has a shimmering finish. First, wear this shade on your upper cheekbones, and across the bridge of your nose, on your forehead, and your chin. I love that it gives you more of a tan shade. It is great for when you want to look like you spent the day at the beach. Also, wear it underneath any of the blush shades. In this way, they will have more dimension. In addition, you’ll amp up their color.
Drift

Last, Drift, a rose bronze shade, has a shimmering finish. To begin with, for a subtle, rosy glow, I would wear this on my cheeks. The reason is, I love the rose gold shade. Although, you may need to amp it up with Body Talk Blush. Also, wear it on your eyelids, as an eyeshadow. Of course, you can, and should wear Drift as a highlighter. And, use this shade to amp up the blush shades, and give them more dimension.
The Blush

Let It Burn

First, Let It Burn, a soft rose shade, has a satin finish. To start, wear this soft rose shade as a blush. Although, you can wear Let It Burn as an eyeshadow. Furthermore, you can layer it with Tied Up, the champagne highlighter, to give the soft rose shade more dimension.
Get Lost

Next, Get Lost, a nude peach shade, has a satin finish. For me, Get Lost, got lost on my medium-tan skin. However, I can amp it up with Deep Down, the golden bronze highlighter. Then, the blush will show up on my skin. However, I love peach shades on my eyes. Therefore, I would wear Get Lost as an eyeshadow.
Body Talk

Finally, Body Talk, a dusty mauve shade, has a satin finish. This is a pretty blush, on the apples of your cheeks, or under your cheek bone. If you wear it more as a contour, then pop your cheek with Let It Burn. Even more, this looks great in the crease of your eyes, to add definition. Also, wear it on the outer corners of your eyes. Mix it with Drift, to give it more dimension.
Nars Overlust Cheek Palette Last But Not Least…….

Nars Blushes are some of the best. The Nars Overlust Cheek Palette looks different in the pan, then it does on your skin. If you are looking for a more Wow highlighter, these aren’t going to be for you! However, if you are looking for more of a glow, then these highlighters are for you. However, if you like to mix and layer, then I think You’ll get better results with this palette. It happens to be a beautiful palette. Although, these days we are all so used to a strobing glowing highlighter. I call that an instagram highlighter. These shades are more real, everyday shades.
