The Hourglass Ghost Blush Palette is part of the Ghost Hourglass 2019 Holiday Collection. Furthermore, the quad has four beautiful Ambient Lighting Blush shades. And, three of the blush shades are brand new! Also, the Blush quad is part of the Ambient Lighting Collection. Additionally, the Holiday Ghost Collection also includes the Ghost Ambient Lighting Palette ($80). In addition, the collection adds Hourglass Confession Refillable Liquid Lip ($36), Last, the collection offers three Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadows ($46).
Every year I look forward to the Hourglass Holiday Collection. Even though some of the shades are repromotes from palettes past, there are always new shades to look forward to. Finally, I love that Hourglass is all about lighting. Until my BFF and I started doing YouTubes, I never realized how important lighting is. For example, I love to wear Dim Lighting Powder in the evening. Although, when we do our videos, we use diffused light or luminous light. These lighting techniques enhance the mood of your pictures. Also, you can create these effects, either with camera lighting, or Hourglass Ambient Lighting.

Hourglass Ghost Blush Palette Holiday 2019 Packaging
Every year, Hourglass likes to change up their Holiday packaging. For example, last year, the blush palette came in a gold mirrored compact. Also, last year, there were only three blushes in the compact. However, this year, the blush comes in a silver-topped compact. Although, the palette’s bottom is translucent plastic. Although, you may be thinking that Hourglass chose the cheap way out. Instead of giving you an all silver palette, half of the palette is ghost-like translucent plastic. In other words, I don’t think Hourglass was trying to be cheap. Instead, Hourglass was attempting to give you “Ghostly” packaging.
One more thing, the price is $58, which was the same as last year’s holiday blush palette. However, last year there was only three blushers in the palette. And, there was 0.33 oz of product. This year, there are four blushers. in the palette. As a result, you get more choices than last year. But, at 0.04 oz, you are getting less product.
Of course, the palette comes with a full-sized mirror. As a result, the palette is great for touch ups on the go, and travel.
Formula for the Hourglass Ghost Blush Palette Holiday 2019
To begin with, the finely milled powder formula feels silky. Although it does have some kickup. Although, the powder doesn’t feel dry, nor does it look chalky. Moreover, the blush blends easily, and creates a smooth color layer. Also, the blush adheres, flawlessly, to the skin. I love that Hourglass is and always has been, a quality brand. Although, I have one con. That is, the glow factor isn’t there! The reason is, there is very little to no luminosity. As a result, the blush can look a bit flat and dull. Truly, I thought there would be more dimension in the blush.
The Shades in the Hourglass Ghost Blush Palette
First, Surreal Effect, a medium soft pink shimmer shade, swirled with a deeper magenta shade. Actually, Surreal Effect is a re-promote from the Hourglass 2016 Surreal Light Holiday Palette. Next, Strobe Blush in Brilliant Nude,is a shimmering champagne shade, swirled with a tan bronze sparkle. Strobe Blush in Brilliant Nude makes a great highlighter. Also, this shade is another re-promote since it is also available individually. In addition, Strobe Blush in Lucid Glow, is a shimmery coral shade, swirled with a soft gold. Finally, Infinite Flush, is a soft pink shade, swirled with mauve.
Hourglass Ghost Blush Palette Last But Not Least……
Another way to look at the Hourglass Ghost Blush Palette, is it has four minis in one palette. And, each mini would cost $24, Therefore, you are saving $42. Furthermore, the pigmented blushers are not great for tan or deep skin tones. In fact, I think this palette is perfect if your are fair or medium.
Finally, some of the shades look glittery in their pans. Although, when you apply the shades, they aren’t glittery at all.
