The compact lid lifts up to open, from the center front of the compact, and to close, simply push the lid down until you hear a click.
The neon green Sunbeam Lip tint Hydrating Balm comes in a slender, Plastic, neon green lip balm tube, that twists up and down, and a slanted opening where the lip balm comes out, giving you a more precise application.

The formula for the Sunbeam Cheek and Eye Shade is a gel-powder formula. I suggest you use a dense synthetic brush, or your fingers, to apply the gel-powder to your cheeks and eyes. Both the Sunbeam Cheek and Eye Shade, and the Lip Balms highlighted ingredients cherry fruits and rose extract, that are infused into the formulas, to nourish and hydrate your skin. 
The lip balm is very emollient, and the cherry and rose extracts give your lips a boost of shine. The light texture of the lip balm feels good on your lips, your lips stay hydrated and look plump. Also, you get a great color boost. The Cheek and Eye Shade is infused with the teeny tiniest sparkles, they create a nice bronze shimmer that gives your skin glistening warmth.

I realize that Chantecaille, is a luxury brand, and the prices are high. If you really wore the shades in the Sunbeam Collection everyday, from now until the end of the summer, it would be worth the expense,that is, if you really love these shades and formulas. There are plenty of other choices that also will create very simple, easy monochromatic, with a one- and- done- shade for your eyes and cheek looks! There are too many lip balm tints in the stores as well. Go into a Sephora, or Ulta and play with the shades until you find something you like. Or, if you love Chantecaille, and can afford this Collection, I would go for it, it really is a beautiful, easy look you can create in a second. And, it is soooooo Beach Worthy!
