Lipstick Queen “Smokey Lips Kits” Magically Transform Lipstick

We all love the sultry, sexy smokey eyes phenomenon. Lipstick guru Poppy King was inspired to transform the lipstick shades into smoldering smokey lips. She created two smokey lip kits. The idea of creating a “smokey” lip is such a new concept, and because I was intrigued, I purchased both kits to experiment with creating some of my own smokey lip looks

Lipstick Queen’s Black Lace and Pinky Nude Sinner and Black Lace and Bright Neutral Sinner ($35) each contain two shades, a full coverage lipstick shade, and a sheer black color that transforms the full coverage shade to a smokier version of itself.

Don’t be intimidated with the Black Lace Rabbit shade. it is an extremely sheer black shade with a fine gold shimmer in it. If you want to use it on bare lips, you will not have a black lipstick look. What you will have is a slightly smokier version of your own natural lips. You can control the smokiness of your lips by applying one layer, or a few layers of black on top of the full-coverage lipstick you are transforming to become a smokey lipstick shade. By the way, this is a great way to transform some of your brighter, more summery colors into sultry, smoldering fall shades.

What I love about Lipstick Queen’s Smokey Lip Kits is………..the transformation of the core Sinner shades with Black Lace Rabbit (sheer with fine golden shimmer) layered over it works really well to create a new shade that is a smokier, sexier version of the core shade. I love the newly created smokey shades in both kits, because they are sultry and smoldering – great looks perfect for the fall and winter months. I love the transformation of the bright summer hues morphing into sultry , sexy, delicious shades. I think the transformation is super cool and the new shade is quite mysterious. Lipstick Queen’s formulas are extremely moisturizing they are easy to apply – especially when applying the sheer black layers which go on top of the core color evenly. You can use more or less of the transformer to change the look, and you can create many different effects with the two lipstick in the kit. I also love the high gloss finish you are left with when you use the Sheer Black lipstick. These kits would make festive and fun holiday gifts for the lipstick-lovin’ in your life!
