Dior Rosy Glow Blush Six New Shades & New Formula

BlushFaceMakeup

This summer I’ve become obsessed with blush!  The reason is, the weather here has been horrible.  Thunderstorms, and overcast days is what we’re having. I can count on one hand how many sunny days we’ve had. Even when the sun is out, it is too hot to be out! I have a beach house and haven’t been to the beach yet!  Since we haven’t had any glorious beach days, we are looking peaked and pale, like we do in the winter. So, blush is a must if you want to look healthy.  It gives us a rosy, healthy glow. We need this,  to feel like the sun has been shining, even though this summer it really hasn’t been!  That is why blush is my new best friend.  Dior Rosy Glow Blush now comes in six new shades, and a new, silkier formula. I saw the adds, and the blush looked really beautiful.  Even more, this is a ph adjusting blush that went viral so fast on Tik-Tok viral- products.

You can find the Dior Rosy Glow Blush at Sephora, Ulta, Saks Fifth Avenue, Harrods, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and on the Dior Website.  The Dior Rosy Glow Blush (1.5 oz./4.4g) costs $40.

Dior had me at their packaging. The outer box, signature Dior blue with silver writing, is recyclable and  is made with FSC Mix. (This environmental and social certification comes from the FSC, a global organization that certifies forests based on rigorous standards of responsible forest management. Certifications include “FSC 100%,” “FSC Recycled” and “FSC Mix” (which can be a blend of FSC-certified, recycled and controlled sources). The compact is gorgeous, although it is tiny and will fit in your hand, or even a pocket?  Although, you still need your own brush!  The compact’s lid has the Dior imprint on it, as it is on the actual blush , including the color of the blush inside.  Underneath the lid is a mirror. On the opposite side is the blush with a design that consists of the Dior imprint all over the blush. The compact is plastic.  Parts of the compact are clear plastic.  Yes, Dior plastic containers can be recycled. They use a variety of materials, including glass and plastic, for their products.  Their plastic packaging is often made from #1 (PET) or #5 (PP) plastics and is recyclable.

The formula is infused with color reviver technology .  This means that, when applied,  the blush reacts to your skin’s moisture level to deliver a customized rosy effect. This innovative technology is put to work when the blush has been applied to your cheeks.  Then, the blush reacts to your own skin’s moisture level to deliver a customized, rosy effect.  The end result is a natural, long-lasting, healthy glow!  The blush shades don’t translate to your skin the way they looks in the pan. Don’t be intimidated by the brightness of the shades in their pans.  Actually, the blush is nice and soft. It is not too pigmented. If you want more color payoff, you can build the shade for a more intense look.

Try it, and you’ll see how natural the blush looks on your skin.

004 Coral

It is so subtle, and flattering, the way a natural flush would look if you took a walk on the beach on a sunny day.

If you have a fair, light or a light -medium complexion, you can wear this blush.

012 Rosewood

Again, it will give you a fresh, natural flush , and an instant healthy glow!

And it is just what we need this summer.

Dior recommends you use a blush brush, and apply the blush to your cheekbones.  Once you apply the blush, wait for a few minutes for YOUR CUSTOM, NATURAL-LOOKING, HEALTHY GLOW TO APPEAR ON YOUR CHEEKS!

I purchased two shades, 004 Coral, and 012 Rosewood.

Rosewood is a soft rose shade.

The other shades are: 001 Pink, a subtle pink shade that seems to be one of the more popular shades, 006 Berry, a deep plum shade that would be perfect for a more wintery glow, 015 Cherry, a cherry red shade, one of my favorites, and 020 Mahogany, a delicate mahogany that is perfect for deeper skin tones.

These Dior Rosy Glow Blushes are actually for the faint at heart!  Their finish is a pretty, subtle, matte, rosy glow.  One last thing, to make my point I wanted to compare two Dior Blushes, in very similar shades, and very different formulas.

left is the Rosy Glow Shade in Coral/Right is the Limited Edition Dior Shade, also in a coral shade.

First, is the Rosy Glow 004 Coral Shade,

The limited edition shade in Rouge Blush Couleur Couture shade 556

the other is a Limited Edition Dior Blush Shade.

Rosy Glow in Coral is on the left, the other Dior Limited Edition shade is on the right. Clearly, you can see that the Coral shade on the left is not nearly as pigmented as the coral shade on the right, even though the coral shade in the pan looked way more pigmented than the coral shade on the right.

The proof that the Rosy Glow Blush is not the bright color that is in the pan. The other blush is more pigmented, both shades were one stroke swatches.
