The Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder is a really cool product. It dials up an instant fix for your skin! The Skin Blurring Balm Powder is special because this balm to powder formula really does do it all – it is a texture-reducing, coverage-boosting, blurring balm that balances oil in your skin throughout the day! Although, it still keeps your skin hydrated! Originally, The Skin Blurring Balm Powder was designed to be your one and done no-makeup-makeup-look. Or you could use it as a primer before you apply your foundation. However you use it, it will blur your pores, and reduce the look of redness! It comes in 11 shades, but interestingly, one of the shades is a universal shade.
You can find the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder at Sephora, Beautylish, and on the Danessa Myricks Beauty Website. The Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder (0.63 oz./18g) costs $36.
The Balm Powder comes packaged in a bronze-foiled outer box with white writing.
Also, the top of each box is the color of the shade inside.
The round plastic bronze metallic compact has a groove on the outer lid that holds a spatula you can use to pick up the balm.

Also, to open the compact, twist the top lid off.
To close the compact, twist the lid back on.
Inside, underneath the lid, is a reflective silver foil, no mirror!
On the other side of the compact, is the pan that holds the blurring balm powder.
I love how the brand incorporated a spatula on the outside of the lid, very clever, don’t you think?
On Earth Day the brand made this statement to answer the question Is Danessa Myricks Beauty Eco-friendly? “Here at Danessa Myricks Beauty, we’re committed to working towards a more sustainable future. The Yummy Skin formula includes three call-out ingredients. First is the Swedish super ingredient upsalite.
Upsalite balances and absorbs excess sebum and sweat while maintaining the skin’s hydration. The technology includes little spheres in the formula that soak up oil throughout the day. Also included in the formula, olive-derived squalane, works to balance oil production and helps to diminish visible signs of aging. Finally, the formula includes Hyaluronic acid, that works to promote the skin’s hydration.

Furthermore, the formula blends easily and seamlessly. It is a natural, skin-friendly formula with a light consistency, although it does cover what you want covered. The coverage is light, but buildable. Therefore, you can use it as a foundation, or a primer, under your foundation, or as a powder over your makeup! The balm/powder feels emollient, but it doesn’t look dewy on your skin.
There are eleven Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder shades. One of the shades, shade 1, the Universal shade, is translucent, and can be used on all skin tones. The rest of the shades from 2 to 11 go from light, fair, medium light, medium, medium tan, tan, deep and dark. The undertones in the shades are either neutral, or golden undertones.

I purchased shade 4, a medium shade with neutral undertones.

All of the shades have a natural looking glow finish without the shine.

Finally, I really love this pore-blurring balm/powder. It goes on creamy, like a balm, and dries to a powder. It is petal soft on your skin. I recommend trying this in the summer, since it is lightweight, and will keep skin oils at bay. I really ended up loving the finish, when worn by itself. My skin looked smooth, and had a natural glow. It really covers what you want to cover!
