Christian Louboutin Abracadabra La Palette Eyes

The new Christian Louboutin Abracadabra La Palette Eyes is something you have to “experience” if you are a makeup obsessed.  Let me explain.  Once upon a time I went a little crazy, and bought a lipstick that costs $98!  For one thing, the lipstick was from Christian Louboutin. In caseyou don’t know, he’s  the guy who makes shoes with red bottoms and spikes!  Anyway, the lipstick bullet, fit for a queen, had a crown on top!

For me, not all makeup is about color, and formula.  Furthermore, makeup is all about color, formula, packaging, and the experience.  Therefore, when you’re spending a small fortune for something that you can purchase for 1/4th the price, it better be a great product, have a great formula, and come in great packaging!  All of these things, together, create the ‘experience’. I hope that all of us can delight in the pleasure and gratification of the “experience” at least once in our lives.

You can find the Christian Louboutin Abracadabra La Palette Eyes at Nordstroms, Saks Fifth Avenue, Selfridges, and on the Christian Louboutin Website.   Also, the Christian Louboutin Abracadabra La Palette refills ( 0.21 oz / 6g) cost $78.  Are you thinking, “not a bad price for a Louboutin Eyeshadow Palette?”  Guess what!  Didn’t you catch the word refills? On the one hand, the eyeshadow refills cost $78.  So, where do you put the refills?

First, allow me to introduce you to the Christian Louboutin Abracadabra La Palette!  You really need to put your six pan eyeshadow palette in something.  Just wait til you see the Abracadabra La Palette!  One, it weighs 76g.  Two, the case costs $78.  Now we’re talking!  As a result, the entire EXPERIENCE will cost  $156 plus tax.  Now, that sounds more like the price one would expect from a Christian Louboutin Eyeshadow Palette!

First, you purchase one of three Christian Louboutin Abracadabra La Palette Eyeshadow Palettes.  The six pan eyeshadow palette comes in a shiny black, plastic container.  Next, you purchase the Abracadabra La Palette case.  It comes in two shades.  One of the shades, the signature red shade, is the CL signature that appears on the bottom of his famous shoes.  The other one is a shiny black shade.

To begin, the spikes all over the case, inspired by one of the first iconic spike shoes, has become the Louboutin signature.  Both cases are covered with silver spikes.ABRACADABRA LA PALETTE EYES SHADOW CASE BACK VIEWE  Furthermore, the case is shaped like a glamorous clutch handbag. The eyeshadow formula is a finely milled powder.  Also, the shadows have a cream-like texture.  Even more, the eyeshadows apply easily. And, they are blendable and layerable.  Also important, the shades have rich pigments, that allow the shadows longevity.  In other words, they last all day. Last, the shade have matte, metallic, satin and shimmer finishes.

The Shades of the Christian Louboutin Abracadabra La Palette Eyes

First, I purchased two of the three eyeshadow palettes.  The palette I didn’t purchase is the Rose Pigalle Palette, a rose shaded palette with gold, brown and peach shades.  The palettes I purchased are Bronze Eloise, and Rouge Follies.  Although, all three palettes create looks that go from classic, to iconic, light to bold, and casual to sophisticated!

To begin with, the Bronze Eloise Abracadabra La Palette Eyes shades are browns with gold tones.

First, the left shade, a rosewood shade, has a satin finish.  Since this rosewood shade is the lightest shade in the palette, wear it all over your eyelids.

Next, the middle shade, a champagne metallic shade, has a metallic finish.  This champagne metallic shade is relatively light.  You can wear it all over your eyelids.  Or, you can wear it on the inner corners of your eyes, and on your brow bones to highlight your eyes.

Third, the right shade, a deep brown shade, has a matte finish.  Wear this brown matte shade to line and define your eyes.  First, wear it on your lower lash lines. Also, wear this matte brown shade on the outer corners of your eyes.  Also, you can always wear the brown shade in your crease.

To start, the left shade, a copper-bronze shade, has a metallic finish.  One way to wear this metallic copper-bronze shade is all over your eyelids.  For a more intense shade, keep building it, and put it on the outer corners of your eyes.  Line your eyes with the copper-bronze metallic.  Wear it as a crease shade.

Next, the middle shade, a yellow-gold shade, has a satin finish.  Wear this shade in the center of your eyelids, to make your eyes pop.  Also, you can wear the yellow gold shade all over your eyelids, to create a gold eye.  Line your eyes with the yellow gold shade, and wear it on the inner corners of your eyes for some gold drama.

Last, the right shade, a brown-bronze shade, has a metallic finish.  It’s summer, so make a bronze eye.  Wear the bronze all over the eyelids.  Then, wear the matte brown shade in your crease.  And highlight with the rosewood satin shade.

Christian Louboutin Abracadabra La Palette Eyes in Rouge Follies

To start, the Rouge Follies Abracadabra La Palette Eyes has smoky, red tones.

First, the left shade, a deep black shade, has a matte finish.  Wear this shade to line and define your eyes.  One way to wear it is on your lower lash lines, and into the outer corners of your eyes.  Then, blend it, to make it more smokey.  Another way to wear the black matte shade is to wear it underneath, and then put a brighter shade over it, to create a deeper, richer shade.  Or to make the top shade more intense.

Second, the middle shade, Rouge Louboutin, has a metallic finish.  Remember, red is CL’s signature shade, that makes his shoes more recognizable.  The reason is the shoes have red bottoms.  Although, this rouge shade is a metallic shade.  I love red shadows.  One way to wear the red metallic shade is to use it to line your lower lash lines.  Also, I sometimes wear red on the outer part of my eyes, right under the brow.

Third, the right shade, an antique rose shade, has a satin finish.  Wear this shade all over your eyelids.  Also you can wear it as a highlighter, on the inner corners of your eyes, and under your brow bone.  Another way to wear this shade is to transition one shade to another.

To start, the left shade, a rich cool plum shade, has a metallic finish.  First, this is a beautiful metallic shade.  Although, it is a subtle metallic with shimmer.  I would love this cool plum all over my eyelids.  Also, it is a beautiful shade to use as a highlighter.

Next, the middle shade, a sand shade, has a satin finish.  I love this beautiful neutral shade.  Wear it to highlight your eyes.  Also, wear it all over your eyelids.  You can’t go wrong with this neutral satin shade.

Finally, the right shade, a pearly white shade, has a metallic finish.  I love to where a shimmering white metallic shade all over my eyelids, and into my crease.  Also, another way to wear a pearly white metallic is in the center of your eye lids, to make your eyes pop.  Last, wear it as a highlighter,  on the inner corners of your eyes, and on your brow bones.

My Final Thoughts On The Christian Louboutin Abracadabra La Palette Eyes…..

I loved playing with these eyeshadow palettes.  The shades are cohesive for each palette. Also, the shades are more subtle than I thought they would be.  They are almost delicate shades.  However, both palettes have the potential to create bold looks.  Finally, a quick word about the case.  If you are a Louboutin fan, you are going to love the case. It is designed to look like a clutch.  I would love to have a clutch like that!  It is a bit more work, to switch in and out of the cases.  However, the cases are something that will remain permanent in your collection.  Hopefully, there will be more shadows in the future.

xoxo
