The Christian Dior Holiday Couture Collection Total Glow Nude Palette ($62) is a limited edition eye shadow palette that contains three eye shadows, a brow powder and a brow wax.
The three shimmering eye shadows are on the left. The brow powder is the second in from the right (the fourth pan), and the brow wax is on the right(the fifth pan). There is a rectangular mirror on the top of the case. The palette also comes with a dual-sided brush, a shadow sponge applicator on one end, and an angled brush on the other.
I was quite taken by the packaging of this palette.
The shadows come in a hand-held, card-sized black, textured, leather-like, wipe-able case that is zipped up on three sides with a gold zipper. On the front of the Case is the Christian Dior logo, CD, in gold sequins.
It is a really good-looking case, one that you would want to use once the shadows are finished. The great thing about the case is it is small enough to fit into your handbag, and because it is zippered on three sides, the shadows won’t get all over the inside of your bag.
The three eye shadows are the three pans on the left. The shades are:
on the far left:
a peachy-champagne shimmer
in the middle (the second shade from the left):
a beautiful taupe shimmer
and third from the left:
a shimmering beige
From the right side (the fifth shade):
eyebrow wax
left of the eyebrow wax (the fourth shade):
a soft-pigmented eyebrow powder
The eyebrow powder is to create a more defined brow, one that is neat and filled in. Use the angled side of the brush to fill in and define your brow. Then top it off with the eyebrow wax so that the brows stay perfectly in place.
The three shimmering neutral shadows go together to create a light-catching glow. They are far more beautiful when seen in person, they don’t photograph so well-you hardly see the shimmer, which is very much part of this glow nude palette.
I love the hand-held card-wallet case with the CD in gold sequins against the black leather-like texture. The shadows are the luxury formula that makes Christian Dior Makeup LUXURIOUS and very high-end! The shadows sparkle and are glimmering on your eyes. I have been wearing this shadow a lot since I purchased it. It is an easy one to wear because the three neutral shades are gorgeous, creamy, pigmented and they blend really well. The neutrals are not flat, nor are they matte. They glimmer and shimmer and glisten, and at the same time, the actual colors are neutral and quite subdued. You get the best of both worlds-subdued color with a lot of umph! The brow powder is soft and pigmented and easy to apply to your sparse areas of the brows. The look becomes a strong, well-defined eyebrow with a glisten of neutral eye color! Perfect! Don’t you think?
