New from Bobbi Brown’s Spring/Summer 2017 Havana Brights Collection is a revamped version of Bobbi’s Art Stick.
The biggest change being, the new Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip ($28) is in a squeeze tube disguised as a pencil. The Art Stick is a pencil, that needs a sharpener, and it is both a lip liner and a creamy matte lipstick. The New Art Stick Liquid Lip is the same price as the original Art Stick, it still packs a punch of color on the lips, and it has a creamy formula, but it leaves you with a semi – matte , satiny finish.

Pinky and I visited the Bobbi Brown Counter two weeks ago, and we each had our makeup done by two amazing Bobbi Brown makeup artists( at the Nordstrom Store in King of Prussia), Darcy and Collin, who were really versed in all things Bobbi Brown. Darcy introduced me to some of her new skincare products, which will be on a future blog as I am still enjoying the testing phase!
Both Pinky and I wanted to try the New Liquid Art Sticks, so Darcy picked a shade for me, and Collin chose a color for Pinky.

Pinky and I were into brights, so Lily was her shade.

And I wanted the Hot Tangerine, which really made me think of Havana Brights! Plus, I was lovin’ the new name for the Spring/Summer collection, because my best friend was born in Havana!

These were fun, beautiful, bright and bold shades. Pinky and I loved how they looked, and felt on our lips. We loved how they made our lips look full and juicy. The conditioning formula was both creamy and hydrating. They have a nice slip to them. They are super pigmented, and they give full coverage. They do transfer a little, so be on the lookout for lipstick on your teeth! We both loved the long-wearing, “stay where you put it” formula, and we especially loved that it left a stain of color on our lips even when the juiciness wore off. Another important fact about the Liquid Art Stick, since it is a liquid lipstick, and liquid lipsticks tend to dry out the lips, these didn’t. And that’s a good thing! Something else you can do with the Liquid Art Stick that you can’t do with other Liquid Lipsticks is, you can mix and blend different shades together. Sold!!!!!!!

My biggest and only complaint, is the packaging.

It really is great looking, and a kitchy idea that makes the liquid lipstick stand out from all the other Brands’ liquid lipsticks. I think it is more difficult to apply the liquid lipstick from the tube. If you squeeze too hard, you’ll end up getting it all over, one big mush of lipstick! If you squeeze it too lightly, you end up with not enough lipstick to cover your lips.

Also, you should squeeze the lipstick into the middle of your lips, smack your lips together, then using the slanted tip to slide the color onto the rest of your lips, as you are moving the the lipstick outward to the edges of your mouth. This is kind of difficult to do, to get a sharp lip, so my advice is to use a lip brush! It is the only way you are guaranteed a perfect finish.
Stop by in the comments down below and say hi, and tell Pinky and I what you think about the new Art Liquid Stick and it’s packaging!
