Cystic acne…blemishes…they’re horrible! We have all experienced one or the other, or both. Renee Rouleau has been a skincare guru to the stars for more than 25 years. And, she has a cult following for her skincare products, especially one in particular, her Renee Rouleau Anti Cyst Treatment ($42.50) at Renee Rouleau.com, her official website.

When we experience a cyst, in case you’ve never had one before, it isn’t like any old pimple that will dry up and go away. A cyst is usually painful, it also appears larger than a pimple, and it goes way down deep into the layers of the skin. It goes much deeper than a pimple. And worst of all, it can last a long, long time, even for weeks, and in some cases, months!

According to her website, Renee Rouleau Anti Cyst Treatment is designed to heal and reduce inflammation of cystic acne. It also claims to reduce the recovery time by 50% on average. Also, according to the website, the product contains ingredients that are used to reduce inflammation, decrease bacteria, dissolve pore blocking cells, and it includes a special ingredient that helps the formula penetrate deeper into the skin, than just the active ingredients alone.
KEY INGREDIENTS INCLUDE:
Lactic Acid – is an AHA that is derived from milk, and it helps dissolve cells that block pores, and also help clean the pore itself
Ethyl Lactate – decreases bacteria and reduces inflammation
Carboxymethyl Cellulose – acts as a delivery system that carries the ‘action ingredients’ deep within the skin where the cysts are present.
What I like about Renee Rouleau Anti Cyst Treatment…….is the quality of the ingredients. These ingredients are pretty basic, but they are all well documented in research which proves that these are the ingredients that work. The milk derived AHA, Lactic Acid has had plenty of research on the efficacy of lactic acid, which is highly regarded as an active ingredient, and research also shows long-term use of Carboxymethyl Cellulose is also extremely effective.

There is a medicinal smell to the product, which doesn’t bother me, a and I think of this product as a treatment, not just another skincare product! It definitely takes a good medicine to help with cysts. I also love that once the cyst is cleared up, you can use the product, in problem areas , as a preventative to keep you cyst free in the future.
It is difficult to fight cysts, there aren’t many options out there. Usually I would go to my dermatologist to get a cortisone injection in the cyst , which hopefully would cut down the time of it. Or I would do a cold treatment, holding a ziplock bag, filled with ice, and a paper towel wrapped around it, on the cyst for five minute intervals throughout the day. Renee’s Anti Cyst treatment is the first over the counter product I have found that even attempts to cut down the duration and help with the inflammation of a cyst. No wonder Renee has a cult following! It definitely reduces the amount of time a cyst lingers. Anti Cyst Treatment is a viable solution for an occasional cyst. Those of you who can tolerate AHA’s can really benefit from using Anti Cyst Treatment.

Daytime Blemish Gel is another innovative product from Renee Rouleau. What I love best about it is……it is designed to be a spot treatment that goes on under your makeup. It has a powerful ingredient combination that is so advanced it can heal blemishes and acne, under your makeup! It creates an ‘invisible seal on the pimple that prevents dirt and debris from getting inside the blemish openings.it feels smooth when applied and it dries to a thin, light finish. Renee Rouleaus Daytime Blemish Gel is also sold on Renee Rouleau.com, for $37.50.
Ingredients include:
Salicylic Acid – it dissolves pore blockage
Tea Tree Oil – it acts as an anti-bacterial to keep pores clean
Licorice Extract – reduces redness and inflammation

I have become a follower, and if you either suffer from cysts, or need a day treatment and still wear makeup on top, give these products a try!
