At one time, Barney’s Department Store sold Gucci Westman Atelier makeup. Sadly, Barney’s has closed their doors. One reason I loved shopping at Barney’s was their makeup department. Barney’s makeup department carried brands that weren’t in department stores. For example, I love the Claudio Riaz line. The first time I saw the Claudio Riaz line was at a Barney’s in San Francisco! Additionally, Barney’s sold the newer Gucci Westman Atelier. Other than Barney’s, you could only find Westman Atelier on Gucci’s Westman Atelier Website. Since Barney’s closed, the Westman Atelier Makeup is becoming more, and more accessible. And, who wouldn’t want the makeup that stars like Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow and Reese Witherspoon wear? Above all, the stars of this simple streamlined makeup are the Westman Atelier Sticks.
First, the sticks have ingredients that are good for your skin. So, they are part skincare, part makeup. Next, the Westman Atelier Sticks are easy to use. Furthermore, I love that the sticks are so portable, they are easy to take with you! You can find the Westman Atelier Sticks, and the highlighter and bronzer compacts at Westman Atelier/Consciously Crafted Beauty, Goop Shop, Violet GreyRescue Spa, and Bergdorf Goodman.
Next, The Vital Skin Foundation, 9g/.31oz, costs $68. Also, the Lit Up Highlight Stick in Glass Iridescent, 5g/.170 oz, costs $48. The Face Trace Contour Stick in Biscuit, 5g/.170 oz, costs $48. Finally, Baby Cheeks Blush, 6g/.21oz costs $50.
There are three Westman Atelier products that come in small, round compacts. One is a highlighter, Another is a bronzer. In addition, there is a brand new lip compact. Last, there is a Westman Atelier Mascara.
The Packaging For the Westman Atelier Sticks
The ultra-chic, magnetic, “color-coded” stick design is brilliant and beautiful. They feel substantially weighty in your hands. Additionally, the sticks are easy to use. Also, each type of makeup has a different colored stick. Therefore, the foundation stick is pink. The highlighter and contour sticks are matte black. Also, they are shorter than the other sticks. Finally, the blush sticks are grey. I love that the sticks are different depending on the type of makeup. So, you would grab a pink stick if you are looking for foundation. Also, to contour, you need the other black matte stick! Finally, when you are ready for blush, grab a grey stick! It is so easy!!!!
First, the stick’s tube is made from hard plastic. However, it is not heavy. It feels good in your hands. The magnetic closure is so powerful, that when I tried to put the sticks next to one another in a line, they pulled away from each other. That is how strong the magnet is! And, that is a good thing. You want to be able to travel with your sticks. And, you don’t want to worry that a cap will come off. That magnet is so strong, that losing your lid will never happen. Last, I prefer makeup in stick form. The reason is, sticks are so easy to use. In addition, they are so easy to carry. Even more, most of the time, all you really need is your fingers, to apply the products.
The Westman Atelier Sticks Formulas
Consciously Crafted Beauty
Gucci’s products are as clean, and as natural, as possible, without compromising the performance of the product. As a result, they are not quite 100% clean. However, right now, clean is a broad term. All I can say is Gucci’s formulas are as close to clean as they possibly can be -without changing the integrity of the product.
The Vital Skin Foundation Westman Atelier Stick
Westman Atelier Sticks Vital Skin Foundation ingredients
To begin with, the foundation gives you light to medium coverage. Although, it is easy to layer if you want more coverage. Also, it gives your skin a dewy glow. That is my favorite look. And, you skin still likes like your skin! Isn’t it supposed to? I love that the foundation is so creamy. Therefore, it is easy to apply. All you need to do is swipe it on. Then, you can use a brush, or your fingers to blend it in.
Furthermore, the Vital Skin Foundation Formula includes vegetable derived ingredients, squalane, phytosphinosine, and berryflux vita. These are the skin care ingredients in the foundation. They work to soothe and nourish your skin. Also, they promote the production of you skin’s own collagen and hyaluronic acid.
Lit Up Westman Atelier Highlight Stick
WESTMAN ATELIER STICKS INGREDIENTS FOR THE LIT STICK AND CONTOUR STICK
This highlight stick has a gel-consistency. Also, ingredients like Grape Extract make the skin look bouncy. Even more, grape seed extract encourages collagen production. To apply, just swipe it on the high points of your face. For example, swipe Lit Up on the upper parts of your cheekbones. Also, swipe a highlight down the center of your nose. Then, highlight your Cupid’s bow. I like to highlight my brow bones. Moreover, there is no glitter what so ever in this highlighter. So, go for the no-makeup, makeup look.
Face Trace Contour Westman Atelier Contour Stick
First of all, the Face Trace Contour Stick gives you a creamy, dewy finish, much like the foundation. What I love most about this contour stick is you can’t mess it up! The reason is, it is very forgiving. For example, it is so natural looking, when you blend it with your fingers or a brush.
Baby Cheeks Westman Atelier Blush Stick
The Baby Cheeks Formula includes a triple botanical blend of light ayurvedic oils that will soothe and nourish your skin. In addition, Vitis Vita Grape Extract will detoxify your skin’s cells. Even more, it will promote the production of your skin’s own collagen and hyaluronic acid.
The Gucci Westman Atelier Sticks Shades

GUCCI WESTMAN ATELIER STICKS VITAL SKIN FOUNDATION
First, a quick word about the foundation shades. For one thing, the shade range is limited. Therefore, if you are dark or deep, good luck finding a shade. I had a really hard time finding my shade, medium, with neutral undertones. My choices were Atelier IV – a medium warm shade with peach undertones. I went with this one first. And, I wasn’t thrilled that it was warm. However, I chose to go with the peach, thinking of peach as a universal shade. Next, I ordered Atelier VI, and Atelier VIII.

To start with, Atelier VI is a medium neutral shade, with caramel undertones. So, I thought Medium Neutral was good. I wasn’t so sure about the Caramel Undertones. However, it is the best match so far. Also, I tried Atelier VIII, a neutral beige, with rose undertones. I love the neutral beige part. But, rose undertones? I’m not even sure what that is! So, the shade is o.k. Gucci really needs to add some shades. How about, medium with neutral undertones! That’s Me!
Lit Up Highlighter Stick
Next, Lit Up Highlighter Stick in the shade Glass Iridescent is a sheer, iridescent, dewy glow. It’s beautiful. So, don’t let it scare you. The shade is a beautiful, glowing, glass-like shade.

Then, Face Trace Contour Stick in Biscuit, is a cool coffee-beige shade. It goes well with light to light-medium, and maybe medium skin tones. However, when you start to get in the tan , dark or deep skin tones, It really doesn’t look like it will work.
Baby Cheeks Blush SticksFinally, Baby Cheeks Blush Sticks come in five shades. They are Dou Dou, a warm rose shade and Couchette, a nude peach shade.
However, I purchased three of the five shades. First, Minette, a luminous peach shade, has a satin finish. The blush do not have a glossy finish! Second, Poppet, a cool poppy pink shade, has a satin finish. Finally, Petal, a dusty nude rose shade, has a satin finish.

In addition, do you love luxurious , performance makeup with quality ingredients, then Westman Atelier Sticks are the way to go. I think the stick design is brilliant. Finally, the formula is unbelievable! First, it is good for your skin. Next, I love the molten texture of the stick makeup. Also, the makeup feels lightweight. Even more, the formula is moisturizing on the skin. And last, the makeup is long-lasting!!!
I’m in love with dewy makeup. I love the satin-dewy finish of the foundation. Also, I love the easy, creamy formulas.

And, it really does make your skin look like skin, but better. Finally there is nothing better than traveling with a few sticks. You have no worries with sticks. They don’t take up all the room a big palette takes. All those compacts take up so much space! Traveling is awesome when all you take are a few sticks, and some eyeshadow. I can’t wait to try Gucci’s new lipstick compact!
