Foundation seems to be the makeup of the month! First, It seems like a new foundation comes out every day! What is more, you are the one who has to decide which one is “your best foundation.” For example, do you want a foundation balm? On the other hand, are you looking for a liquid foundation? Maybe you are in the market for a cushion foundation. Next, you have to decide if you want a luminous glow. Although, since the summer, foundations with a matte finish are back in style. Admittedly, I prefer a foundation that gives me a luminous glow. I love when my skin glows, and looks like glass. Pat McGrath and Charlotte Tilbury ,both favorites of mine, created new matte foundations. I tried both of them. And, both foundations were big disappointments for me. So, I tried the new Anastasia Luminous Foundation.
I love Anastasia’s eye brow products. Also, I have all of their eyeshadow palettes. However, I never thought they’d branch out and make foundation. However, I am so glad they did. For one thing, this was the one foundation I was about to leave on the shelf. Therefore, it just goes to show you, you need to try everything. However, it is impossible to try them all. So, if you decide you want a new foundation you need to do a little research.

For one thing, finding your perfect foundation can be difficult. There are so many decisions you have to make. First, do you want fair, light, light-medium, medium, medium tan, dark, or deep. Next, you need to choose your undertone, For example, are you warm, cool, neutral, yellow, olive, peach, of gold? Then, do you want a cream, stick, liquid, balm or powder foundation? See what I mean? Therefore, when you do finally find “the one”, that does it all, never let it go!!! And, that is how I feel about the New Anastasia Luminous Foundation! I’m never letting it go!!!!
You can find Anastasia Luminous Foundation at Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, Beautylish, Macys, and on Anastasia Beverly Hills Website. This luxurious foundation costs $38. And, it can stand up to the best of them! Even more, it comes in fifty gorgeous shades. Yep, there is a shade for you, your best friend, your aunt, grandma, and your best friend’s mom!
Anastasia Luminous Foundation Packaging

I am crazy in love with the packaging. First, the outer box is in reflective silver is stunning.

Next, the square, 1.0 fl.oz. rectangular glass bottle has a black cap. Although, the best part is the writing on the bottle. It says FOUNDATION. I love it because I can never find anything, especially if it is right in front of me. You can’t miss this bottle, and neither can I! Last, it has a pump to dispense the foundation, one drop at a time. Although, you’ll probably will need two or three! Moreover, you can unscrew the pump and take it off. The reason for this is when you get to the last drop, you can turn the bottle upside down, hit it on the bottom, and out comes the foundation!!!
Anastasia Luminous Foundation Formula

To begin with, it’s creamy, but not too creamy. The creamy texture is just right! Next, the formula is luminous. Yet it is not too luminous. In fact, the foundation’s formula is just right! And, the formula gives you the right amount of luminosity. In other words, the formula doesn’t look too wet! In other words, the formula is not overly dewy of luminous. Also amazing, the formula is long wearing, and you can even go without setting powder! It will still be long wearing. Moreover, the formula is lightweight, and it gives you medium coverage. As a result, you won’t look too over done! And, it didn’t accentuate my pores, or my uneven skin texture. Although, if you want more coverage, the formula is buildable. And, it is easy to blend.

Furthermore, the formula blurs my imperfections. It doesn’t cake. I love that it doesn’t mask the skin’s natural radiance. And, it has a satin luminous finish that looks natural. Therefore, the finish is not over the top! Finally, the formula is water resistant. Best of all, the longer I wear it, the better it looks. And, if you are asking me what does it look like? It looks like your skin , only better! When it dries down, it looks radiant.
Anastasia Luminous Foundation Shades

All I can say is 50 shades!!!!! Wow! In other words, there is the perfect shade for everyone! I purchased shade 315N, for medium skin that has neutral beige undertones, in a natural finish. It is the perfect match for me. And, I didn’t get color – matched in a store. Instead, I purchased the foundation online.

All I can say is, if you know your skin tone, and your skin’s undertones, you can trust the shade descriptions. Basically, the skin tones range from fair, light, light medium, medium, medium tan, tan, deep tan, and deep. Also, the undertones go beyond cool, warm and neutral. For example, The undertones range is massive, golden neutral, warm neutral, cool golden, neutral peach, warm red, neutral pink , warm yellow, to name a few, and give you a better idea of what undertone you would be looking for.

Anastasia Luminous Foundation Last But Not Least………..

It is really difficult for me to find the right foundation. There are so many of them on the market. And, they come in all shapes and sizes. Therefore, you need to know your skin tone, your skin’s undertones, and your skin texture. For example, are you looking for full coverage? Medium or Light coverage? And, if you are dry, like me, you really need to moisturize and wear a moisturizing primer underneath.
However, if you have oily skin, you may not need all of the moisture underneath! Also, are you someone who loves ethereal, luminous, glass-like skin that looks natural? Or do you love to look matte and airbrushed? You see why it is so difficult to find the right one?

However, when you finally find the right foundation, after you’ve searched for years, then wrap your arms around it, and wear it forever! It’s like a husband or a boyfriend, when you find the right one, you will know it! So you’ll wrap your arms around him, and keep him forever! Right?
What do you think? Let me know what kinds of foundations, or husbands, you love in the comments below!
