Are you always on the hunt for the perfect foundation? So am I! Lucky for us, there are a lot of new foundation launches right now! I’ve already tried the New Kevyn Aucoin Foundation Balm, Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, Voodoo Makeup Coconut Cream Foundation, Tom Ford’s Soleil Flawless Glow Foundation and Natasha Denona’s Foundation X+. Whew! Today I received the new Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation.
I am a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury Makeup. In fact, years before it came to the US, I spent a whole day in Harrod’s Department Store (in London) where they had two Charlotte Tilbury counters on opposite ends of the massive beauty department. And, Do you think my husband was happy? Furthermore, I would purchase all of the new looks, lipsticks, and anything else I could get my hands on. Then, my husband really had a fit. Especially because he had to carry the bags!

If you love Charlotte as much as I do, then I’m sure you are gonna want to try the New Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation! One reason is, it will give you a flawless, poreless-looking airbrushed look. Another reason is it will give you full coverage, and a matte finish. You can find it at Sephora, Beautylish, Nordstrom, and on the Charlotte Tilbury Website! Moreover, there are 44 shades in the collection. In addition, each 1.0 fl. oz. bottle costs $44.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation Packaging

To begin with, the Airbrush Flawless Foundation comes in an oval, frosted glass bottle.

In addition, the hardware, the plastic lid, and the plastic dispensing pump are in Charlotte’s signature Rose-gold shade.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation Formula

To start, this is a full coverage foundation that has a matte finish. So, a little goes a long way. Moreover, the formula is long-wearing. I like that the matte finish doesn’t look chalky. First, I put the foundation on without a primer. Don’t do this. I have extremely dry skin. As a result, the formula still showed the large pores on my chin. Also, the liquid formula caked in my dry spots. It also caked on my peach fuzz. Worse, it accentuated my crease lines, and the lines around my mouth. So, for better results, I suggest you moisturize, and wear a moisturizing primer.
So, I just experimented! First, I moisturized my skin. Then, I put on a moisturizing primer. The result – a little better. However, although the coverage is great, the texture of my skin shows through the formula. I’m not lovin’ the look!
Next, I tried mixing the Airbrush Flawless Foundation with Charlotte’s Hollywood Flawless Filter. One, I liked the luminosity on my skin. Maybe I don’t look good in matte foundations anymore? Maybe the formula is too thick? And, I think the foundation emphasizes my fine lines.
However, Charlotte includes skin-care ingredients in the formula. For example, Magic Replexium is supposed to visibly reduce the look of wrinkles while you wear it. Then, Magic Moss Cell Tec No.1 moisturizes your skin for up to 24 hours. Also, it boosts skin moisture levels. Additionally, Air Cool gives your skin an instant fresh feeling. Last, C.T. Defense, a blend of natural ingredients, limits the skin’s exposure to everyday pollutants.
Also, the formula is sweat proof, humidity proof, and waterproof. Finally, the formula has an ever so slight fragrance.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation Shades

First, the Airbrush Flawless Foundation comes in 44 shades. Therefore, there is a shade for everyone. For example, to name a few, the shades go from the fairest of the fair, porcelain, golden, yellow, natural, peach, beige, neutral, deep amber, amber, deep bronze, bronze, espresso, and deep espresso. And the undertones include warm, cool, and neutral. I purchased 2 shades, 5 Neutral, and 6 Neutral.

6 NEUTRAL ON BOTTOM SWATCHES
5 Neutral is a warm peach shade that has neutral undertones.

6 Neutral is a golden olive shade that has neutral undertones.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation Last But Not Least…….

Let’s Start With Me! I really wanted to like this foundation. I tried every which way to make it work. First, the shades I picked, from their descriptions on the CT Website, seemed like a pretty good match. Next, the formula had all the requirements, like evening out your complexion and giving you a healthy look. Plus it is long-wearing, cruelty free and vegan too. Above all, I like that there are shades for all skin tones and undertones. Nobody is left out!!!

However, I think I should have gone to Sephora or Nordstroms, to get color matched. The reason is, with so many shades, maybe I just don’t like the shades I chose.
Although, it does give good coverage. But, it didn’t cover the textures of my complexion. For example, the lines around my mouth look awful!
Bottom line, this one is not for me! Maybe you will have better luck? I’d love to hear your feedback in the comments below. What foundation brands do you use? Do you like to wear a matte finish or a more luminous finish? I’d love to hear from you. Don’t be shy, just stop by and say hi!
Last of all, I keep looking at myself to see if the foundation is looking any better. No such luck! I’m so sad! It did not make me look flawless and airbrushed, that is for sure. Did you ever look forward to a product, and when you finally got it, it didn’t meet your expectations? What did you do about it?
