What does everyone wish their skin looks bright and healthy. Specifically, we want our skin to glow. So, we need products to create that somethin’ somethin’ glow. In other words, we want to have a distinct glow. Becca’s palettes create that distinct glow. And, a limited edition Becca Light Face Palette, has just launched called Becca Be A Light. Moreover, it comes in two colorways. First, is the Be a Light medium to Dark Face Palette. Second is the Be a Light Palette in Fair to Medium.
Best of all, the palettes include “paint by numbers” instructions on the backs of the packaging box and the compacts. As a result, you’ll know where and when to apply the four shades: a Brightening Powder, A Blurring Powder, A Bronzer, and a Blush. If you are familiar with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palettes, the new Becca Be A Light Face Palette is along the same lines. However, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette costs $62 and the new Becca Palette costs only $46.
Becca Light Face Palette in Be A Light Packaging
First of all, I was in for a surprise when the palettes arrived. They are huge! And, I was expecting them to be much smaller.
In fact, I was expecting the Be A Light Palette to be the size of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palettes. Also, these large palettes are weighty. The mirrored plastic compacts come in two shades. First, the Medium to Deep compact is a rose gold shade. Second, the Fair to Medium compact shade is yellow gold. In addition, the mirror is the entire width of the compact.
As a result, the mirror is very large. Etched into the large mirror is “Becca” and the words “Be Humble”in the medium-deep palette. And, the words “In The Moment” are etched in the light-medium palette.
In addition, the compact includes two full-sized powders, Brightening, and Blurring. Also included, and one third the size of the powders, is blush and a bronzer.
Becca Light Face Palette Be A Light Formula
First of all, I think the brightening and blurring shades and their formulas are similar to the Hourglass Ambient Powders. Next, all of the shades feel smooth and buttery. Moreover, the products apply lightly and beautifully blend to create a natural, radiant finish. Also, the formula infuses Becca’s Skin Perfectors to give the powders their glowy finish. First, they are formulated with light-diffusing technology. Also, the Sheer Glow Filter Powder acts like a real-life filter. It minimizes imperfections and it evens out the look of skin tone. And, it creates a veil for a soft, natural finish.There isn’t any glitter in these powders.
However,, the blush has micro shimmers that make it highly reflective when buffed into the skin. And, both the bronzer and the blush are very pigmented. Each of the shades use varying levels of pearl and color to blur, define and illuminate to give you a realistic glow.
Becca Light Face Palette Be A Light Application
There are four steps to achieve the perfect glow:
- 1 – Use Brightening Powder (the left shade) all over your face to brighten and boost radiance.
- 2 – Use Blur Powder (right shade) all over your face to blur imperfections and even out your complexion.
- 3 – Use +Contour/Bronzer (bottom shade) to sculpt and define your features.
- 4 – Use Blush (top shade) on cheekbones to add a pop of color and light.
Tips
First, you can use the palette on top of your foundation to set and enhance your complexion. Next, you can use the palette without foundation to create a sheer, natural finish.mmAlso, for lighter skintones, you can use the contour/bronzer as an eyeshadow. Also, you can use the Blur powder as a warming bronzer where the sun naturally hits your face. And, if you have deeper skintontes, mix the contour/bronzer with the brighten and Blur powders to achieve a new, rich custom shade.

Last But Not Least
Don’t be afraid of the large size of this palette. It may not be a palette to throw in your handbag, however it is good for actual travel. One reason is, the ginourmous mirror is great for applying your makeup in hotels, on trains, planes and automobiles. Another reason is there are four great products under one roof. In fact, I refer to this palette as one and done (for the face that is!).
Also, the shades blend effortlessly so you can layer them to build and customize your own glow. I love the sheerness of the coverage and the hint of light you’ll achieve with Be a Light Face Palette.
It is already becoming one of my favorites. I purchased both palettes. The light to medium I can use now. However, I am looking forward to the gorgeous glowing tan looks I will be able to create this summer with the medium to dark palette.
