Lashes are making a statement this summer with Yves Saint Laurent’s new for summer YSL Mascara Vinyl Couture ($29 Neiman Marcus). It is a lot of fun for this time of year when we all crave a pop of color!

The packaging of the Mascara Vinyl Couture is so fashionably gorgeous, and luxurious. It is sleek and modern. The vial of mascara is a square tube of glass, where the colors are featured. The top of the tube is YSL Gold with YSL written in black. Just gorgeous as only Yves Saint Laurent can do! The Mascara comes in nine shades, seven are gorgeous colors and two are top coat sparkles. The colors are Purple, Fuchsia, Blue, Hazel, Green, Aubergine and Black. The Top coats are Dark Sparkle and Gold Sparkle Top coats.
It has the classic YSL scent they use in their beauty products. It was infused with mandarin, jasmine and vanilla, but it was very subtle.
The Vinyl is revolutionary for YSL. It has a intense and super shiny formula that gives lashes length, volume and curl with deep saturated colors.

I purchased the blue mascara, called I’m the Craze, and the Dark Sparkle Top Coat in I’m the Storm. The blue is a gorgeous vibrant blue. It was very pigmented, and I did get a good color payoff. It was a subtle color blue on my dark lashes, but it was still noticeable.

The formula of the mascara was great! It pulled my lashes out and separated them, adding length that made my lashes look longer and fuller. It was easy to build, by adding more coats. It was long wearing, and it didn’t flake or smudge. It didn’t make panda eyes!

I love sparkle anything! This sparkle did not disappoint. It was a subtle sparkle that I wore over black mascara. It looked barely there. It was just enough that you had something there.
What I love about YSL Mascara Vinyl Couture is…………YSL screams luxury. It is an elegant line of cosmetics. The color was well done, because it was subtle and could really be seen when sunlight or light hit my eyes. Then it became noticeable that a little somethin somethin was there, and it was blue, or it sparkled with the top coat! It was not that Maybelline mascara that screamed gloppy purple – you know the one that we all wore in Junior High School! When I wore the blue mascara on my top and bottom lashes, it made my eyes pop. The blue mascara was bold enough for me to wear alone, which worked when I kept the rest of my makeup simple, putting neutral shadows on my eyes and a thinner eye liner. It also looked great when layered over black mascara. The sparkle mascara also looked great as a top coat on my black mascara. I love the vibrant blue , I love wearing any vibrant color for the summer, it really loos great with my summer looks.
You are Awesome!
