We’ve already learned about Winky Lux Makeup in Part 1 (click here to read part 1), and what we’ve discovered is this color cosmetics brand is made with the highest quality ingredients known to womankind. All the products are cruelty, paraben and phthalate free, non-toxic and heavily pigmented. They are a humane, cruelty-free company that not only won’t test on animals, they won’t use suppliers who test on animals. Being that I have 9 dogs, three parrots and Claire the Iguana, Cruelty-free is very important to me and all animal lovers. There is no reason anything should be tested on animals. Also, this is a luxury brand who is able to sell their products at a really nice price!
The remains of the haul Pinky and I purchased at the Winky Lux Booth at Beautycon 2017 Brooklyn, New York, are the Winky Lux Kitten Powder Eyeshadows, and Winky Lux Matte Lip Velour Lipsticks. We purchased five shades of the Kitten Powder EyeShadows, (we both wanted another shade, and the boxes weren’t even unpacked for display yet, and they were out of it! Go figure, it happens to me all the time, when I want something and it’s sold out! I’m sure it happens to all of us!)

Love the packaging! The little yellow floral box and inside the simple, sleek round white winky Lux compact mini.
The ingredients contains micro-milled powder with rich pigments.

Leo ingredients
Leo is a golden, bronzey – brown shade with an ultra soft shimmer. A great crease shade, and can be worn on the eyelids, the outer corner of the eye, and as a liner.

Kiki is a corally peach shade with a very slight soft shimmer. I love this shade for summer, on the eyelids, above the crease color. or as a crease color,

Muffin is a matte brown shade with red undertones. I love this shade in the crease, as an eyeliner, and in the outer corner of the eye.

Bardot is a dusty rose shade that has a matte finish. I think of this shade as retro Brigitte Bardot in the 1960’s, so cool! I would wear this on my eyelids, in the crease and in the outer corner of the eye. Love this shade! It reminds me of an old mac lipstick, also called Retro!

These Kitten Powder Eyeshadows
are gorgeous. There are 21 highly pigmented shades in all, in both matte or soft shimmery finishes. The powder is micro-milled and you only need 1 swipe to apply (they are that pigmented!) The texture is soft and velvety, like a kitten’s fur! You won’t believe the price for an eyeshadow that is high quality, non toxic, cruelty free, and you know the rest, is $9 each.
Winky Lux Matte Lip Velour Lipsticks ($14) come in 27 shades that range from reds, blues, pinks, purples, browns, burgundy, berries, peach, white and black hues. I chose two shades, Heart and Plush.

The coolest thing is the matte lip velour packaging. These look like pill boxes in the shape of a capsule, or it could be a bullet, like in lipstick bullets. Whatever they are supposed to be, they are really clever and fun. The only problem, you can’t stand them on your vanity, and they were hard to get a picture of, they like to roll around (LOL).

Heart is a”little red corvette” (oud to Prince) shade, meaning it’s a classic red. Think Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn red lips.

Plush is the perfect pink shade that will look great on every skintone. The formula is soft, and it has a balanced hue.

The formula is infused with Vanilla, so it smells delicious. It has a moussey texture that is lightweight. The pigments are intense, each bullet is packed with pigments that are suspended giving your lips a cushiony, plush feel. The formula feels great on the lips, glides on with one swipe, and lasts a long time. I’m definitely going to try more shades.
I hope if you haven’t heard about Winky Lux, that you are more familiar with it now. Remember, it is cruelty free, uses food-grade ingredients, and creates luxury-worthy products without the luxury product price tag. My favorite part of Beautycon 2017 Brooklyn, NY was discovering brands like Winky Lux that are all about the quality of their product, being innovative, and even their packaging is fun.
