Wayne Goss New Smoky Quartz Eyeshadow Palette

Uncategorized

Wayne Goss, makeup artist and my fav youtube star, has launched Smoky Quartz, his fifth eyeshadow palette!  Wayne’s first eyeshadow palette, Imperial Topaz, is a warm toned palette with matte, satin and shimmer finishes.  Next, Wayne released the Tourmaline Palette, that has rich burgundy shades, neutrals and a dazzling gold shade.  Then, Wayne’s Pearl Moonstone Palette, warm and cool undertones, with matte, frosted, shimmer, and sparkling finishes, comes in gray, black, peach, and blue shades.  Next, The Moonstone Palette has romantic neutrals in matte, satin and shimmer finishes-this is his “wedding” palette, perfect for the bride.  The newest Wayne Goss Luxury Palette, Smoky Quartz, was inspired by the Supermodels during the 90’s, the six shades include smoky taupes, browns, and neutrals with matte, and satin finishes, and a shimmery  celestial shade (which is a sparkling topper).

You can find the Wayne Goss Smoky Quartz Palette at Beautylish.  The Smoky Quartz Palette (.57 oz./16.2g) costs $55. Also, Wayne Recommends the Essential Eye Kohl Pencil (0.04 oz./1.14g) costs $14.

The outer box is the familiar silver metallic box, we’ve all come to recognize as Wayne’s box.  The problem with the box is it is difficult to photograph, and it holds onto every one of your fingerprints!  Also, the plastic palette is a shiny dark granite shade, that almost looks black with Wayne Goss printed on the center right side of the lid.  The compact has a simple pull up from the front center to open, push down til you hear the click, to close.  Inside is a full mirror underneath the lid. On the other side of the palette are six oversized shades, arranged in 2 horizontal rows of three.

I can’t say for sure, but it appears that there is no evidence of the packaging being eco-friendly or sustainable.    No labels of any kind on either the box, or the compact that alludes to recycling.  Not happy about that, considering we don’t even get bags to bring our groceries home, anymore.  We have to provide our own.  So, Wayne, please become sustainable and eco-friendly.

The pressed powder formula,  is infused with a balance of smooth-blend emollients, and micronized pigments create shadows that feel silky. The formula is buildable.  The shadows glide on easily, and do not emphasize fine lines or texture.
