I purchased Anastasia’s Luminous Foundation. I love it! Then I wanted the huge, new AHA Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Volume 1. To describe , the palette includes 25 electrifying pigments in matte, metallic, shimmer, and neon finishes. Abpve all, The Norvina Pro Pigment Palette is gorgeous. However, keep in mind, Norvina is an Artist Grade, Pro Pigment Palette. As a result, this is not your everyday eyeshadow palette. Instead, stars of the palette are the pressed pigments!
There are three reasons why you’d love this palette. First, are you a makeup lover? Do you love to try all sorts of new looks? Then, you’ve got to see the Norvina Palette. Another reason is, are you a fan of Anastasia of Beverly Hills? Do you love their eyeshadow palettes? Then, you’re definitely gonna want this one in your collection. Above all, if you love intense colors, this palette is for you. The reason is, you’ll find the boldest, most vivid color story in this palette.

Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Packaging
First things first, don’t be intimidated by the packaging. The outer box is a lacquered-looking shade of purple.
Also, the plastic case is weighty. In fact, you may think the case is metal. Yet, we know that it’s not! Moreover, the case is also purple, with gold accents. One great feature the palette has is the mirror stays where you put it. In other words, when you lift up the mirror, it doesn’t fall down! Also, the palette, a lot bigger than we are used to, is huge. Also, the palette is a gorgeous to look at.
Moreover, the mirror is humongous. And, the 25 eyeshadow and pigment pans are oversized. Don’t you think, it’s a good thing? You’ll get a lot of product for your money.
One of my favorite things about the palette are the shade names. Hey, there are no shade names! Instead, there are five rows,( A through E). Also, each row has five numbered shades ( 1 – 5)Therefore, the shade “names” are the row and number of the shade in that row. For example, A4, or B1, and so on and so forth.
I love the bigness of the Pro Pigment Palette. The reason is, it looks like it is professional. Only, this is not the palette you’ll want to travel with, or throw in your clutch for touchups. First it is too big. Second, it is too bulky. And third, the palette is too heavy. O.K. Goldilocks! You won’t need touchups because pigments last much longer than plain old eye shadows.
Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Formula
Let’s begin with the fact that there are 25 shades in the Norvina Pro Pigment Palette. Also, 17 Norvina Pro Pigment Palette shades are “not intended for use around the immediate eye area”? WHAT? And, these shades are: A2, A3, A5, B1, B3, B4, B5, C4, C5, D2, D3, D4, D5, E1, E2, E4 and E5. Why is that? Because they are pigments!!!!! Didn’t you read the Box? However, there are 8 eyeshadow in the Norvina Palette!
What is the Difference Between Eyeshadows and Pigments?
For one thing, eyeshadows formulas include synthetic substances, binders and fillers. As a result, you need to build up an eyeshadow. Also, eyeshadows don’t last forever! On the other hand, Pressed Pigments are natural minerals. And that is it! They don’t add ingredients to the pigments. However, Cosmetic Brands use dyes in their pressed pigments to create color. As a result, the cosmetic companies can’t call dyed pressed pigments eyeshadows. In fact, the FDA has a list of dyes that are restricted from use in the eye area. Therefore, the company has to give you a warning !
Another difference between eyeshadow and pigments is it is common for pigments to stain your skin. And, red, pink, and purple pigments are the ones that stain the most.. Norvina’s palette has lots of purple shades in it.
Moreover, Eyeshadows have a lot of pigments in them. However, most likely, you won’t use a pigment the same way you would use a regular eyeshadow.
In addition, Pigments have a burst of color. Therefore, you’ll . most likely need a smaller amount of pigment compared to a regular eyeshadow.
Also important, if you have sensitive eyes, you need to avoid your immediate eye area. For example, do not get super close to your lash lines. In this way, you will avoid unnecessary itching and redness.
Finally, dyed pressed pigments are not a life or death hazard by any means. Although, better to be careful than sorry!!!
Last
Finally , the formulas give you amazing color payoff. Also, the intensity of the pigments and shadows is unreal. Also, the colors easily blend together. The formulas feel silky and buttery. There is some kick-up from the pans, which is expected since you are using pigments without binders. However, there is little to no fallout on your eyes when you are applying the color. Last, the pigments are dyed, and they’ll stain your skin. The mattes are creamy, pigmented, and easy to apply. And, the shimmers are vibrant, and pigmented. Magnifique! Finally, the colors are long-lasting!
Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Shades
So, the palette has a lot of purple shades. The reason is, Norvina and purple go hand in hand. In fact, Purple must be Norvina’s favorite color! However, it is not a bad thing. The purples in this palette are really versatile. Although, there are still enough shades for you to create a neutral eye.
Row A – 1-5
A1 is a lilac shade with cool pink reflects that has a metallic finish.
A2 is a bright violet shade that has a matte finish.
A3 is a rich plum shade that has a matte finish.
A4 is a golden copper shade with a metallic finish.
A5 is a warm candy pink shade that has a matte finish.
Row B 1-5
B1 is a vivid lilac shade with a matte finish.
B2 is a rosy bronze shade with gold reflects and a metallic finish.
B3 is a platinum rose shade with gold reflects and a metallic finish.
B4 is a deep cool purple shade with a matte finish.
B5 is a deep cool plum shade that has a matte finish.

Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Last But Not Least………
The reason I love this palette :
First, the packaging is beautiful! Second, the shades are beautiful! Third, the formula is buttery and feels like silk. Fourth, the pigment is true to the color in the pans. Fifth, the shadows are easy to blend. Sixth, the shadows are extremely long-wearing! Seventh, the color payoff is awesome. Seventh, the intensity of the shades is irresistible. Eighth, you can still put together a natural look, Nine, I love color, and this collection is color that is over the top! And, ten, I love the color story!
The Cons
What I don’t love, the Cons are, one I am disappointed that the palette was made in China. For one thing, why would the price be so high since it was made in China? Also, Anastasia of Beverly Hills other palettes have been made in the US!!! Otherwise, I really love the palette. And, I’ve already practiced doing my makeup for my son’s wedding next week. Of course, I used this palette! I really shade D2, a purple shade with blue tones, that has a shimmer finish. I used it all over my eyelids. Furthermore, I sprayed my eyeshadow brush with setting spray, and then dipped it into the shadow. It looks amazing, and it has been on for hours. I hope it isn’t stuck on me for life!!!! Not even a smudge!

Would you purchase a palette that warns you not to wear the shadows on your eyes? 2/3 of the palette shades are “not intended for use around the eye area?” I used shade D2. D2 is one of the shades not intended for the eye area. So far, all is well. My eye feels fine. The color is amazing! If you want gorgeous shadows , or should I say pigments, you have to understand there is a downside. Above all, the shades work for me! First, I put the blue on my lids. Next, I used the blue as a liner.
