Natasha Denona Matte Safari Palette Packaging
I love the packaging of the Matte Safari Palette. First, the color of the outer box, and the compact, is Safari green. Next, the compact is a hard plastic. Furthermore, the compact has a magnetic closure. This type of closure makes sure the palette doesn’t open in your suitcase, or handbag.
Also, the palette has a full sized mirror. As a result, it is easy to travel with. Above all, the eye shadows come in removable pans.
Therefore, you can move the shadows, or take the shadows out of the palette completely.
Natasha Denona Matte Safari Palette Formula
A few years ago Natasha changed her matte eye shadow formula. Today, the formula is known as her signature matte formula. In other words, the formula has cream to silk coverage. In addition, the shadows have a velvety texture. Also, there is zero powder fallout.
The shadows have rich pigments that create rich hues. Also, the colors are opaque.
The formula gives you the intensity of a cream shadow, with the control of a powder shadow.

Row 1 Across (Left to Right)
The first five shades, row 1, consist of cool tones, muted tones, and grey tones.
First, Malia is a pastel – powder-pink shade with a matte finish. I love Malia has a base shade all over your eye. Also, use Malia as a highlight shade on your brow bone. Another way to use Malia is to blend it with a darker color to lighten it up.
Second, Fata Morgana is a deep sea blue shade with a matte finish. First, I would use this shade in the outer half of your eyelid. I also like it on the outer corners of you eyes. Also you can create a smoky eye with Fata Morgana. Above all, I would use this shade as an eye liner, especially on my bottom lash line. I would even use it as a liner on my top lashes, and wing it out.
Third, Rhino is a dark green-grey shade with a matte finish. To begin with, Rhino looks great all over the lids. Also, it would look good in your crease. I also would use it on the outer corners of my eyes. And, it would make a nice line on the bottom lashline.
Fourth, Stone is a light grey shade with a matte finish. Stone looks good as an eye lid shade. Moreover, I’d use Stone as a highlighter on my brow bone. Also, you can use it in your crease.
Fifth, Savanna is an olive Khaki Green shade with a matte finish. It looks gorgeous on your eye lids. Also use it in your crease. Also, you could use it on your outer corners. And, it looks good as a liner on your bottom lash line.
Row 2 Across (Left to Right)
The next five shades, row 2, are warmer tones.
First, Aya is a light nude shade with a matte finish. I love using aya as an all over base on the eyes. You can also use Aya as a highlighter on your brow bones. For a no makeup makeup look, wear it on your eye lids.
Second, Thorn is a deep rust shade with a matte finish. I love this in my crease. Also, I love thorn as an eye liner. In addition, use Thorn to create a smoky eye.
Third, Desert Date is a creamy peach shade with a matte finish. Desert Date looks amazing on your eye lids. Also I love this creamy peach shade as a crease shade. You can also wear this as an eye liner.
Fourth, Shea is a dark brown shade with a matte finish. I think Shea looks amazing as an upper and lower eye liner. Also use shea in your crease, and on the outer corners of your eyes.
Fifth, Tribe is a bright terracotta coral shade with a matte finish. Wear tribe on your outer eye lids, or on outer corners of your eyes. Also, use Tribe to create a smoky eye. Furthermore, I love this terracotta coral shade as an eye liner, especially in the bottom lash line.
Row 3 Across (Left to Right)
The last five shades haverich, reddish tones.
First, Lotus is a dusty rose shade with a matte finish. This is a great shade to wear on your eye lids. Also, I like lotus as a crease shade.
Second, Amhara is a muted coral shade with a matte finish. I also love this shade on the eye lids. Also it looks great in your crease.
Third, Maasai is a muted berry shade with a matte finish. This muted berry shade makes a great crease shade, Also, wear it on the outer corners of your lids. Also, wear Maasai as an eye liner, on your lower lash lines.
Fourth, Voodoo is a deep merlot shade with a matte finish. Wear this deep merlot shade as an eye liner. Also, wear Voodoo on the outer corners of your eyes..
Firth, Tamarind is a camel -beige shade with a matte finish. I love wearing camel on my eyelids. Then, take the camel up to your crease. Underline your lower lash line with camel for a monochromatic look.
Natasha Denona Matte Safari Palette Application Tip
If you want this palette to work the way Natasha designed it to work, apply the shadows using the packing technique. First, grab the powder from the pan. Then, tap off the excess powder. Next, pat the powder onto the lid to press it on. Packing creates maximum impact with minimal blending. Always use an eye shadow base. Also, you can use an eye shadow that is close to your skin color to act as a base. Finally, you can use setting powder as an eye shadow base. However, it doesn’t matter what brush you use as long as you tap and press the shadow onto the eyelid.
