I am a huge fan of the Juvia’s eye shadow palettes. First of all, I have learned so much about African History because the founder of Juvia’s Place is Nigerian. Therefore, her inspiration comes from the wide-range diversity of African tribes, including their habitats, customs , and festivals. As a result, her beautiful eyeshadow and blush palettes reflect the colors associated with these African tribes. The inspiration for the new Juvia’s Place Warrior Eyeshadow Palette came from a warrior regiment of Dahomian African women. The Palette includes golds, bronzes, and brown shades. Similar to the Nubian Palette, the Warrior By Juvia’s has an edgier vibe. Best of all, I love that it will make you look like a Bronzed Goddess ! (to be on the waitlist for the Warrior click here) Each palette costs $21)
Juvia’s Place Warrior Eyeshadow Palette Female Terminators
Considered the most feared warriors in history, they are referred to as” the female terminators.” They left European Colonizers shaking in their boots. Moreover, these warriors, the Dahomey Amazons , was an all female military regiment in the 19th century. Most interesting, this all female military regiment fought for the Kingdom of Dahomy during the 19th century. Above all, (and my favorite part) their trademark was the swift decapitation of heads!
Juvia’s Place Warrior Eyeshadow Palette Packaging
First, the packaging shows the Golden Goddess , Bronze Goddesses of this palette. And, the compact is made from very strong cardboard. Also, I love that the size of the compact is larger than most palettes on the market.
Therefore, the size of the eye shadows are also larger than most palettes.
Juvia’s Place Warrior Eyeshadow Palette Formula
All of the shadows have rich pigments. Six of the shades are very metallic.
First of all, as I find in all of Juvia’s palettes, the formula is excellent. The Warrior Palette includes 9 gorgeous eye shadows. Six of the shadows have foiled shimmer finishes. Therefore, they are very metallic. Three of the shadows have matte finishes. I found the shadows to be very creamy. Also, they felt soft to the touch. The matte shades were very smooth. Furthermore, they applied easily with a brush. And, there was very little, if any, kickback, or fallout.
Juvia’s Place Warrior Eyeshadow Palette Shades
The shades are:
Amina is a rosy champagne shade. It has a foiled finish. First, I would wear it on my lid. Also, I would use it as a highlighter.
Idia is a mixture of gold, bronze and copper. It has a foiled finish. It looks great worn on the lids. However, it would look great as a highlighter.
Mino is a dark, black- brown shade. It has a matte finish. Mino is the perfect shade to use as an eyeliner. Also, you can use it in your crease.
Ahosi is an ivory matte shade. First, it makes a great matte highlighter. Also wear Ahosi as base for your eye shadow. Furthermore, I would wear it to highlight the brow bone. In fact, it would also look great on your cheeks.
Moreni is a white gold shade. It has peach undertones and a foiled finish. Moreni is another great highlighter!
Kano is a warm, suede, mid-tone brown shade. I love Kano as a crease shade.
Dahomey is an orange copper shade. Also, it has a foiled finish.
Bakwa is a bright yellow gold shade. And, it has a foiled finish. It looks beautiful as a highlighter.
Benin is a chocolate bronze shade. It has a foiled finish. And, it looks beautiful on your eyelids. Furthermore, applied lightly, it is a gorgeous bronze highlighter.
Last But Not Least
The Warrior Palette is perfect for summer. First, the shades will create that gorgeous Bronze Goddess, or Golden Goddess look we all love in the summer. And, I love the edgier foiled shimmer shades. Most of all, I love the fact that women warriors were the inspiration for this palette. I love that these women were more feared than their male counterparts! And, their trademark, decapitating their victims. shows how ruthless and powerful women have been throughout history. Pretty awesome, right? Stay tuned for the release of The Warrior 2 By Juvia’s.
