I’ve worn the Hourglass Vanish Foundation Stick ($46) for years. It is one of my favorite foundations. In addition, I love that the Foundation Stick applies like a second skin, and creates a smooth, flawless complexion. Most of all, the luminous, natural finish is gorgeous. Recently, Hourglass Launched another version of the Stick Foundation, The New Hourglass Vanish Liquid Foundation. First, it gives you a natural-looking finish. Moreover, it makes your skin look smooth and flawless. Above all, it has the coverage of a concealer. And, you only need half the amount of product you’d ordinarily use with a liquid foundation. A half a pump, will cover your whole face.

You can find the New Hourglass Vanish Liquid Foundation at Sephora, Beautylish, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and on the Hourglass Website. In addition, the Vanish Seamless Finish Liquid Foundation retails for $56.
Hourglass Vanish Liquid Foundation Seamless Finish Packaging

To begin with, the Vanish Liquid Foundation comes in the iconic Hourglass aubergine box. The frosted glass bottle has an aubergine lid.

Furthermore, the shape of the bottle is interesting.

Do you remember the Vanish Stick foundation is the shape of a triangle.

The new liquid Vanish bottle is shaped like an isosceles trapezoid with slightly rounded edges in back.

Finally, the lid removes and there is an applicator pump.
Hourglass Vanish Liquid Foundation Seamless Finish Formula

To start with, light-reflecting micro-spheres blur and create a soft-focus finish. In addition, Hourglass uses an innovative method of coating pigments that weightlessly provide instant, full coverage with only half a pump of product. As a result, you can do so much with a small amount of product . In addition, you’ll be able to wear less makeup.
Moreover, the full coverage feels light-weight on your skin. Furthermore, Hourglass promises 24 hour wear-time. I wash my makeup off every night, as you should. Therefore, we’ll never know if the foundation lasts 24 hours. We’ll have to take their word on it!
Additionally, the formula is waterproof, transfer resistant, and non-drying. Hence, the foundation feels like your second skin.
Hourglass Vanish Liquid Foundation Seamless Finish Shades

The foundation comes in thirty two shades.

Specifically, the colors go from very light (Blanc, Bisque and Cream,), to light (Ivory, Porcelain, and Vanilla), to Medium (Warm Beige, Warm Ivory and Medium),To Medium Tan (Honey, Golden Tan, Golden Amber) , to Dark (Amber, Natural Amber, and Sable,) and Deep (Walnut, Chestnut, Sable, Almond, and Expresso.)

Also, the shades come in warm, cool, natural and golden undertones.

I chose the Nude shade.

Nude is a light-medium shade with a neutral undertone.
Hourglass Vanish Liquid Foundation Seamless Finish Application Tips

First, you don’t need to use a primer with the Vanish Liquid Foundation. Specifically, Hourglass claims you should apply your foundation over moisturized skin. Therefore, use a moisturizer, and then apply the foundation. Also, you won’t need a concealer. Yes, the coverage is that good!

I apply the liquid foundation with a foundation brush. Actually, use the Hourglass Vanish Foundation Brush to apply the stick foundation. However, you can use any foundation brush. Then, I dab a beauty blender sponge over my face to make sure the foundation is seamless.
Above all, you should work quickly to apply the foundation. The reason is, the foundation’s lightweight texture sets quickly. Once it sets, it feels like you have nothing on your face!
Hourglass Vanish Liquid Foundation Seamless Finish Last But Not Least………..

The foundation is expensive. However, there are two ways the foundation saves you money. First, a little product goes a long way! In other words you need half the amount you would ordinarily use . Second, the pigments’ second skin adheres to your skin without a primer. Last, You won’t need your concealer either! You will get the complexion you want in one step!
I like the Hourglass Vanish Liquid Foundation. However, when I compare a liquid foundation to a creamy stick foundation, I prefer the stick. For me, the stick is the easiest way to apply foundation. I also like the creamy feeling of the Vanish stick. Last, I like the triangular shape of the vanish stick, because I can swipe it in hard to reach places. Also, I think it is easier to travel with a stick than a bottle of foundation. A stick is sleek, and can fit into any handbag. You can take it out, anywhere, to touch yourself up!
Which type of foundation do you prefer? Do you like a stick foundation? A liquid? How about a tube? I would love to hear what you like, in the comment box below!
