First Gucci released 58 plus shades of lipsticks. Moreover, the shades come in different finishes. In fact, the newest. Gucci Gothique Lipsticks come in nine new shades. Also, the Gothique Gucci Lipsticks have a blackened undertone. In addition, Gucci Gothique lipsticks comes in a metallic finish. So What’s Next? Next, is the fashion house’s newest release, Gucci’s First Mascara L’Obscur. So far, it comes in jet black. 
The color is called Eve Black.
Furthermore, Gucci’s First Mascara L’Obscure is different from all other mascaras. The reason is the mascara is able to perform in various ways. For one thing, the mascara can create more than one finish. Do you want a classic, smooth finish? On the other hand, would you like a voluminous, punk-rock look? Whatever look you want, L’Obscure mascara can do it. All you need to do is change the direction of the brush. 
Therefore, when you change the direction of the mascara brush, horizontally or vertically, you will achieve different finishes.
Gucci’s First Mascara L’Obscure Packaging
To begin with, the outer box has a peachy-nude front and three black sides. The writing on front is black. Although, the writing on the rest of the box is the same nude-peach color as the front of the box.
Also, the mascara tube is a peachy-nude shade. Although, it has an etched gold lid. The tube feels substantial and weighty in my hands. I’m a little disappointed with the packaging. I expected Gucci to come up with something more outrageous. The tube seems very feminine and plain. Plus, the shade seems all wrong. Shouldn’t it be green and red?
Next, the gold lid twists off, and becomes the applicator.

Gucci’s First Mascara L’Obscur Brush
Also, the brush is elastomer. Therefore, the brush is flexible. Moreover, the brush is a dome shape. Also, it has tiny teeth. In this way, each tiny tooth grips every lash. When you change the direction of the brush, you change your mascara finish. Finally, the brush is easy to use.
Hold The Brush In a Horizontal Direction
First, if you use the wand horizontally, you’ll create a classic look. Hence, the wand will have a sweeping effect, that will separate your lashes at their root. As a result, your lashes are subtly fanned out. Also, for a natural, full lash, wiggle the brush at the roots of your lashes.
Hold The Brush In a Vertical Direction
On the other hand, if you want a bold, punk look, then hold the wand vertically. This will give your lashes volume, and a high definition finish. Even more, if , like me, you want a clumpy look, then you will hold the wand vertically. First, you’ll need to get a big chunk of mascara on the end of your brush. Next, paint the tips of your lashes with these bits of mascara.
Gucci’s First Mascara L’Obscur Formula
For one thing, L’Obscur’s formula is creamy. Above all else, the creaminess of the formula is what makes the mascara flexible. Once the formula dries, you can add more layers. As a result, you can control your finish. It can either be clean, or it can be clumpy. Although, you have to make the clumps. This is because the formula isn’t supposed to clump. Also, the mascara won’t flake. It doesn’t feel dry. Even more, the mascara is smudge-proof.
One coat of the mascara will give you a natural look. However, you can take your lashes to the next level by building it up for volume and length.
My Final Thoughts On Gucci’s First Mascara L’Obscur…..
Actually, L’Obscur is not Gucci’s First, ever, Mascara! In 2018 there was the Gucci Intense Volume Mascara, and the Gucci Opulent Volume Mascara. But, they are no more. So are the old Gucci lipsticks, etc. Now, there is a new wave of Gucci products that are brand new. So, the L’Obscur Mascara is Gucci’s first Mascara in a long time? Or, you could say, it is the first Gucci mascara in 2020? It is as if everyone pretends this is the first time Gucci has made makeup! And, it isn’t!
Last, I like the New Gucci L’Obscur Mascara. It only costs a dollar more than the mascara we are supposed to forget about!!!!! So much for inflation. First I put on a base coat. Then, I let it dry. I really liked that the brush does grab all my lashes! I also love that the Eve Black is a darkest, jet black shade. In addition, I think it is easy to build up the volume of the lashes.After two coats, I let my lashes dry again. Then, I held the brush vertically, scooped up a lot of mascara on the tip of the brush, and WoW! My lashes transformed instantly to high definition. I let that dry down. Then, I scooped up some more mascara on the tip of the brush. And, I touched the tips of my eyelashes. Instant rock N’ roll! 
Last, the mascara lasted all day (about 11 hour, until I took it off!)
