The outer cardboard box is metallic purple foil, with a raised design etched in the foil. the foil. The case is also stiff cardboard, with a magnetic closure. 
Inside,underneath the lid, is nice size mirror. ON the other side, embedded in black shiny cardboard, are the 14 eyeshadow pans. The shades are arranged in three horizontal rows. The first and third rows have five shades, These are the smaller shades that are 1g each. The center row has 4 shades,which are twice the size of the first and third rows, and they are 2g. There is a plastic see-through paper that covers the shades, and tells you in gold writing what the finish and textures are for each shade.
You can layer and build chrome and high-shine color in varying intensities. Eight velvet-chrome powders deliver an ultra-chromatic, color-shifting, velvety-smooth look. The Palette sounds like it is perfect makeup artist material. I am not a makeup artist, and I have been having a lot of fun with the Limited Edition Transcendence Palette. More important, experiment with the shades, you can see from my photos I have been having a good time playing around with the palette, and have created some beautiful looks.
