The Palettes for the Eyeshadow and Blush are easy to open, by lifting up the lid, and easy to close by pushing down on the lid until you hear a click. 
Inside, both cases have full size mirrors underneath the lid of the case. 
There are two rows of two shadows in the eyeshadow palette. 
The blush is three-D carved flower. The lipsticks have magnetic closures. 
The lipstick case feels weighty, and inside the lipstick bullet is slanted to make application easier.
