The new highlighters on the Becca block is the Limited Edition Becca Light Chaser Highlighter ($34). What makes them different from Becca’s original Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfector highlighter is these Light Chasers are shade shifters. If you are unclear of the concept of shade shifting, think of it as a highlighter that performs like a duo chrome eye shadow. When you move a certain way in the light , there is a flash of more than one color. There are six beautiful shade shifting shades in this collection.

The packaging is the flying saucer coppery-gold compact. It is smaller than the size of the highlighter. It is also a few dollars less than the original Shimmering Skin Perfector. I like the new size. they are less bulky, and easier to carry around in a small cross-body handbag.
The formula is different than the Original Skin Perfector. It is a transformative formula that is a combination of color and light. It is infused with kaleidoscopic pearls that chase the light for an other-worldly glow. It is unique because it shifts shades as you move, delivering hypnotizing color/luminosity with a metamorphic finish. The formula is more foiled than the original. It is more pigmented and not chalky or powdery. It picks up nicely on your brush. The wear time is a lot longer than the original, and most other highlighters. Since it is not as powdery, there is not a lot of powder kickup . And I think it looks more like skin, because it is minus the chalkiness. It adheres to the skin better, maybe because there is more texture added to this formula.

I purchased Champagne Dream that flashes Bellini. It is a soft peach with a rose gold shift. I am into peach this summer, from those delicious white peaches from the farm stand to peach colored eye shadow, lipstick and blush. Champagne Dream X Bellini reminds me of an orange creamsicle, but when I tilt my head I get more of a pearlized look. I think peach is a universal shade and would look amazing on almost every skintone.
These Light Chaser Highlighters can be worn alone on the face or eyes for an exceptional ethereal glow. I love how it sits on my skin. I love that it is not glittery, but rather a more foiled finish. And most of all, I think it is too cool when I tilt my head and it changes color. Wow! I intend to layer this on top of my blush, and eye shadows for a metamorphic color changing look.

To apply, use a densely packed brush to pick up the product. Then tap off excess powder, swirl on, then blend with a back and forth motion. When you buff it into the skin it seems to adhere better. I want to get more Light Chaser Highlighters, some have more color . like teal or jade. These would be great for a fun night out. I love that they are new and different than the more “typical” summer-time highlighters !

Becca Light Chaser Highlighters are part of the collection that includes Becca Liquid Crystal Topper Glow Gloss ($22), each highlighter shade has a corresponding shade in the glow gloss.
