Kat Von D Pastel Goth Eyeshadow Palette is a Limited Edition, 8 matte pastel shades palette inspired by the Pastel Goth Trend we’ve been eyeing on social media. Actually, as a huge Kat Von D fan, I was really surprised when I heard about a pastel palette. Kat’s aesthetic has always been more of a red and black with studs (many studs) aesthetic. A rainbow of pastel shades ….From Kat Von D…….in an eyeshadow palette…..Naaaah! You’ve got to be kidding. Until Kat herself tweeted “Prepare yourselves for the palette you thought I’d never make!”
If you don’t know what pastel goth is, in a nut shell , it is the most girly version of goth complete with rainbow hair! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKay! So, it is goth with a twist, a pastel color palette. On this, Kat did not disappoint!
The KVD Pastel Goth Palette features high, rich pigment pastels in KVD’s signature matte formula (silky and blends really well.) The shades were a little bit of a surprise for me, too. They were not what I think of when I think of pastels. These shades are pure Kat, who is a color- wise innovator, an artist who is knowledgeable in so many mediums, and has so many endeavors that she values variety and balance. So, think of the pastel colors you would see in an oil painting? Bright Pastels, Neon Pastels, KVD Pastels, Got it?
