Nars created two, limited edition, blush palettes for spring 2017: Narsissist Unfiltered 1 Cheek Palette, and Narsissist Unfiltered 11 Cheek Palette. I purchased Narsissist Unfiltered 1 Cheek Palette ($59) because it packed a punch with color. I love nothing more than lots and lots of color. The Unfiltered 11 Palette is more sedate with”ho hum” everyday shades of pinky, peachy pastels. Unfiltered 1 is more risque and lots more fun!
Both palettes have six shades. In each palette, five of those shades are NEW, LIMITED EDITION COLORS. Each palette has one shade that is a re-promote. Nars is a well known, impressive, high-end and high-quality brand. The palette’s compact is really exciting . It is a sleek, contemporary colored mirror with the clever Narsissist logo on the front. It looks expensive and important.
There is a full-sized mirror on the inside lid of the palette. The size of each pan of color in the palette is just shy of a full sized Nars Blush. A Nars Blush costs $30.00, so if you purchased two individual Nars blushes, you might as well purchase this palette of six fabulous shades and have a blush wardrobe for the same money! The palette is an incredible value, and I think it is worth every bit of $59.00!
The blushes are richly pigmented, high impact mattes and shimmers. The micronized Nars formula creates a sheer blush, that is easy to build for more coverage and definition.

I have fallen in love with every color in this palette. Do Not Be Intimidated by the richer shades, (the bottom row) especially the red re-promote shade. The shades can be applied sheer. I suggest using a fan brush, and layering the shade until you achieve the results you want. Touch your brush lightly to the pan, you do not need a lot of color on the brush. The blushes are smooth, soft, buttery and easy to apply. They apply evenly, and they are easy to blend
A look book is included with the palette. It tells you how to use your “wardrobe” of blushes to sculpt, shape and add glow to your face.
