Kevyn Aucoin’s The Contour Palette ($58) is a new limited edition palette that is exclusive to Sephora. It is a 4 in 1 palette that has your four face essentials in one Palette so you can Sculpt, Highlight, Bronze and Blush. 
Three of the Palette’s shades are permanent colors that already exist in Kevyn’s collection. They are popular with the Makeup Pros, as well as all of us – Kevyn’s fans. They are: the Contour shade in medium; the Highlighter Shade in Starlight; and the Bronze shade in Desert Nights. The Blush in Aurora is new and exclusive to this Palette.
The Palette itself is made from cardboard, and is unadorned except for Kevyn Aucoin embossed in gold at the bottom of the cover.
When you lift the lid, the first part of the palette is a quote from Kevyn on the top, and an instruction panel that has a description of each product, and instructions on how to apply each shade, as well as Pro Tips at the bottom of the panel. Even though the case is cardboard, it is a great way to make it truly Kevyn! The makeup artist gives a quote that explains his reason for creating this particular palette, and he gives us his tips and instructions for using his palette. This is really awesome. It’s like Kevyn is with you , teaching you how to apply the makeup!
Flip the panel up, and you have reached the actual palette! There is a rectangular mirror at the top, and the shades are at the bottom-they are all labeled.
The Sculpt in Medium is Kevyn’s iconic sculpting powder. It is formulated with a combination of brown, red, gray pigments that create the perfect contour for shadowing. Just lightly touch your brush to the powder, don’t swipe or you’ll end up with too much of a shadow, The Highlight in Starlight is ethereal, soft and buttery and has a pink tinge with silver which is very reflective. The Bronze in Desert Lights is a warm shade that is buttery and easy to blend. It gives you the look of a subtle tan.
The Blush in Aurora is new and exclusive shade you will only find in this palette. Aurora is a pink shade that gives you a look as if you were lit from within.
The powders in this palette are finely milled. They are very pigmented. They feel buttery, and are easy to blend. It is a great palette to travel with. The size is the Goldilocks size-just right! The value of the palette is amazing! Great for the holidays! Great for your holiday vacation-tropics or slopes, and wonderful to give as a gift.It is the perfect palette for all complexions.
