If Each Day Is A Gift, I’d Like To Know Where I Can Return Mondays!
Let’s do this!
Did you ever see a makeup palette that was so beautiful, and you had to have it, and you would rather own it, gaze at it, and keep it in pristine condition rather than mess it up and use it?

This is how I feel about The Chanel Ombres Lamees De Chanel Eyeshadow Palette for holiday 2016 ($105).

It arrived in a Chanel box, wrapped in tissue , and then another small black Chanel box. I have to admit, Chanel really knows how to do an amazing presentation. It makes the expensiveness of their products hurt a lot less!

Two eye shadow brushes are included in the set. They are a step above the quality brush Chanel generally puts in their palettes.

There are six narrow strips with different alternating designs that are embossed onto the shadows. There are three workable shadows under the most beautiful over-spray. The designs are intricate, stunning and realistically look like the material used for a Chanel Jacket. (We wish we could all have a Chanel Jacket made in material like that!)

#1 is a muted, medium gold – brown with warm yellow undertones and a satin finish. It is very pigmented, and easy to blend. It has long-lasting color.

#2 is a deep brown with subtle warm undertones in a matte-like finish. Also, great color payoff, and extremely easy to blend. The texture is matte, and the color is long-wearing.

#3 is a medium yellow-gold with warm undertones and a frosted finish. It is semi-opaque, but easily build-able. It has a frosted textured finish.

This palette is a collector’s dream palette. It is so outstanding and beautiful to look at, I don’t know of anyone who would want to actually use it and mess up the beauty of the palette. The intricate details of the 3D embossing and the over-spray make this a work of art.

So, I don’t know if it is a problem that it is too gorgeous to use? What do you think? Would you spend $105 for an eyeshadow palette that you didn’t want to dig into the colors, but, instead you just liked looking at the pristine beauty of the palette?

Do you agree with me that this is the epitome of a collector’s item? Please tell us in the comments below.

BJ and I have differing opinions. Of course, I just want to look at it, and BJ thinks that is ridiculous!
