I really look forward to Dior’s Holiday Palettes every year . The quality of Dior is always exceptional. The colors are not only gorgeous, they also shimmer and sparkle. The whole concept of their holiday palette creates a vibe that says sophisticated eloquence- and the added sparkle and shimmer create the perfect holiday touch.
The Dior Holiday Couture Collection 24H All In One Couture Palette for Face, Eyes and Lips2016 ($89) was inspired by Dior’s runway shows. What makes this particular palette so fab is that it was designed to create two very different looks. The first look, the day look, is a fresh nude look. The second look, the night-time look creates a vibrant, smoky, dramatic eye.
The palette is packaged in a black case that has a zipper closure. The zipper is gold. On the front of the case in gold and black is a sparkling Christian Dior Logo, CD. Very chic! The case itself is made out of a black, spongy material – kinda cool. I love the way they did the logo! Very Modern!
Unzipped, and inside the case is a nice large mirror on the top lid, and the actual makeup and brushes are on the bottom. Included are : an illuminating powder, a blush, six eye shadows, and two lip glosses.
Also included with the case is a double-ended eye shadow brush and a double-ended sponge applicator that can be used on both eyes and lips. A foundation brush is also included, but it is unlike any I have ever seen. This foundation/blush brush has a very unique feature.
The brush can be opened up into a fan brush. This is great if you need to use the brush for shading , highlighting, and applying blush to your face.
When you are finished with the brush, just fold it in half and Voila… it fits back inside the case. However, for smaller areas of the face, highlighting, or for more intricate work when you need a different brush, one half the size of the fan, just fold the brush in half! It becomes a new, smaller brush. Brilliant if you ask me!
The makeup consists of the Diorific illuminating powder, and the Dior blush.

The eye shadows are specifically labeled Daily look for the three shadows on the top, and Nightly Look for the three shadows on the bottom (from left). The Day shadows are sheer with shimmer. The night shadow are more pigmented.
There are two lip glosses. They are at the far right. The gloss on the top, sheer and glossy, is for the day, and the gloss on the bottom, more pigmented, is for night.
This is a great palette. The colors are beautiful. There are two specific looks in the set, and many other looks you can create using all of the shades. You can create a healthy, radiant glow, or a professional smoky look. I also like that, other than foundation and mascara, the set includes all you need to create your day or night holiday looks. The zippered case is great for travel, or throw it in your bag and switch your day look to a night look while you are out. This is the time of year when these complete set palettes are available, so if you see one you like, go for it! They are also really fantastic gifts because just this one palette includes everything needed to create a holiday face!
