Who doesn’t love Wayne Goss! I look forward to his “visits” on you- tube. He is an amazing makeup artist, and he’s a great teacher, teaches us great makeup techniques, and I totally hold his opinions in the highest regard , I listen to his every word , especially when he discusses his favorite brand choices of makeup and color. Three years ago Wayne developed his own line of makeup brushes, which are sold exclusively on Beautylish.com. His newest set contains the eight brushes that are “all you need!” And When Wayne says something – believe it! The Wayne Goss Anniversary Brush Set ($225)
The design and quality of Wayne’s brushes is excellent. The brushes are handcrafted by Japanese artisans in Kumang, Japan. They are crafted using traditional Japanese brush-making techniques. The bristles are selected because of their natural softness. The bristles are distributed evenly for flawless application. They are cruelty free.
The black lacquered handles have engraved lettering in a limited edition jewel tone. They are medium-sized in length, and they are lightweight.
The handles also have engraved numbers, from 1-8. Each brush serves a purpose performing a different function in order to apply, spread, blend, and draw the pigments and powders that are needed to create your flawless face!
Brush 01 is your flawless foundation application brush. It can also be used to blend liquids and powders for a quick, easy pore-less finish. It is a limited edition brush that is exclusive only to this Anniversary Set.
This new foundation brush is a re-engineered version of Wayne’s original foundation brush. The new one is three times larger, and it is a duo fiber brush. This brush ensures that your application is fast and flawless, and it requires minimal buffing and blending!
Brush 02 is for your finely powdered products, such as your blush, bronzer, highlighter, and setting powder.
Brush 02 has a tapered shape which is great for contouring your cheeks. It is silky-soft and buffs powders for a seamless finish.
Brush 03 is perfect for sweeping pigment all over the eyelid. The fluffy and slightly pointed bristles are ideal to highlight your nose, brow-bone, or to buff powder on your T-zone.
Brush 04 is your crease brush. The soft tapered bristles are perfect for blending shadow into your crease, and it is also great for applying your concealer under your eye.
Brush 05 is Wayne’s “detail work” brush.
The fine point tip, and supple bristles are designed for the utmost precision when you apply color to your lips and/or eyes.
Wayne’s 06 brush is topped with dense, dome-shaped hairs. It can blend eye shadows effortlessly, with one stroke.
Brush 06 can also be used to apply concealer to imperfections because it will give you a natural, even finish.
Wayne’s 07 Eye shadow brush is small, flat and it has stiff bristles. It is the perfect brush for super control when you need absolute precision. The control it gives allows you to put the precise amount of color on your lips and eyes, or difficult areas like your cupid’s bow, or your brow bones.
Brush 08 is stout and stiff. Because it has tiny, flat, short and stiff bristles Wayne calls this his tightening brush. He uses it to work the colors into the lashes or brows easily!
