The newest Hourglass Product to join the Hourglass Unlocked Collection is the Hourglass Unlocked Satin Creme lipstick. Hourglass Unlocked supports the Nonhuman Rights Project, whose purpose is to unlock the cages of all the wild animals that are being held in captivity. I am an animal lover, and want to help support this noble cause! Hourglass Gives 5% of each Unlocked sale to the Nonhuman Rights Project. The Unlocked Satin Creme Lipstick is both elegant and beautiful, inside (the lipstick) and outside (the packaging). The launch for the Unlocked Satin Creme Lipstick has been marketed in a big way. It has been advertised like crazy. Don’t let that dissuade you, the lipstick is ultra hydrating while delivering high-impact color in a single swipe, and it has a satin creme finish.
You can find the Hourglass Unlocked Satin Creme Lipstick at Sephora, Ulta, Blue Mercury, Nordstrom and on the Hourglass website. The New Hourglass Satin Creme Lipstick (14 oz/4g) costs $38.

The Unlocked Satin Lipstick formula is super hydrating, as a result of the formula including innovative vegan waxes for a smooth texture that glides seamlessly onto lips. It is a lip conditioning formula that is infused with mango seed butter, avocado oil and argan oil ,that provides softer, smoother lips and comfortable wear. The lipstick is long-wearing, and it will not dry out your lips.Even more, the lipstick won’t smudge or fade, bleed or feather. It lasts for approximately 5 to 6 hours. Also, the formula is highly pigmented for great color payoff. It can be layered to create more intensity. The Formula Is 100% Vegan, and Cruelty Free. The Red Zero shade is a 100% vegan lipstick, with an exclusive replacement for Carmine (which , until now, has been the standard red pigment, made from crushed bugs!)
The Shades
There are 21 shades in the collection. The shades I purchased are Red Zero, Dove-316, Dahlia-318, Cypress 328 and Flora-330. All of the shades have a satin sheen finish.
Red Zero
Red Zero stands out from the other shades, and has its own red metallic case. Also, Red Zero is THE perfect red, it is a universal red that will look good on everyone, from the lightest light, to the deepest deep skin tones, and everything in between.
And, if you don’t have at least one red shade in your collection, you need at least one red, so it might as well be the The Perfect red. Remember, red is the color you wear when you need some extra confidence!

Dove -316
Dove, a soft pink-peach shade, has a satin sheen finish.

Dahlia-318
Dahlia, a Rosewood shade, has a satin sheen finish.

Cypress-328
Cypress, a berry-pink shade, has a satin-sheen finish.

Flora-330
Flora, a berry-rose shade, has a satin-sheen finish.

Finally, Hourglass dotted all the i’s and crossed all the t’s with this lipstick launch. From the packaging, which is environmentally friendly, and the weighty metallic cases with magnetic lids, to the vegan, cruelty free, hydrating, comfortable, long wearing formula, and the Hourglass invention of a Carmine Replacement, to the beautiful colors, that include the Perfect shade of Red.

They really outdid themselves once again. Kudos to you Hourglass! I have loved the Hourglass brand since the first day I saw the products, years ago at Sephora, and they only get better with age. Also, I admire, and respect the fact that they are not only contributing to a noble cause, they are educating others and making them aware of these caged animals that need to roam free.
