The hits keep coming from Bobby Brown’s Jones Road Beauty. The newest item, already a big hit, only just launched, is the What The Foundation. Being that this is from Jones Road, this is another one of Bobby’s fresh takes on makeup. This time, it is What The Foundation. It is a balm meets makeup formula: the best of a tinted moisturizer that covers like a foundation. The What The Foundation comes in 12 shades.
You can find the new Jones Road What The Foundation on the Jones Road Website. The foundation (1.14 oz. / 3.5g) costs $44.
The foundation comes packaged in the signature Jones Road light pink outer box, with black writing.
The outer packaging is 100% recyclable, and Forest Stewardship Council®-certified post-consumer fiber.
The foundation comes in a glass jar with a screw on plastic lid.
The jar is reusable.

The formula includes the following call-out ingredients. Jojoba Seed Oil is an antioxidant, antibacterial oil that comes from the jojoba plant. Additionally, the oil works to replenish the skin with fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. Even more, the texture of the formula is similar to your skin’s natural oils. Also, Propanediol and Glycerin are included in the formula, because they work to prevent moisture loss from the skin. Finally, Sodium Hyaluronate, a derivative of HA, has similar benefits to HA. It attracts moisture to the skin. Even more advantageous, Sodium Hyaluronate has a smaller molecular weight than HA, so it moves freely and deeply into skin, providing a greater hydrating effect. Even more, The foundation’s lightweight formula melts into the skin, is smoothing, and doesn’t look greasy. Also, it blends easily, blurs the skin, and gives you buildable coverage. It has a clean, menthol-like scent that reminds me of being at a spa!
There are 12 What The Foundation Shades, that were created to blend across all skin tones. Bobbi suggests getting two shades, one for winter, the other for summer. And, inbetween, you can mix the shades to get your shade.

I purchased the shade Beige. I was in Florida for a few days last week, and came home with a mild suntan. I understand what Bobby was saying, because I wish I’d have picked a summer shade, as well.
Although, Beige is my perfect shade, without a tan.
And, it is very forgiving, with a tan. So, I am pleased with the shade, and happy with the foundation.

The formula is perfect, my skin looks smooth and blurred.

It makes my skin look like skin.

At first, the dewy finish is more pronounced, but it dries down, and still looks dewy, but not dripping in greasy dewiness. It is perfect! I’m in love!

Bobbi Suggests you apply either with your fingers, a spatula, or a brush.
