The Marc Jacobs Extravagance Eyeshadow Palette, limited Edition, is from the Eye-Conic Collection of Eyeshadow Palettes. Also, Extravagance is special. The reason is, the Extravagance Palette is the Gold Edition. First of all, this is a gorgeous palette. In fact, I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. First, the palette has seven gorgeous neutral and gold shades. Also, the eyeshadow formula is new. In addition, the shadows come in four different finishes.
Unfortunately, the palette came via UPS. And, it was a big mess ! This is because the palette came out of the box covered in eyeshadow dust. I was so upset! Mostly because this has happened to me before. Same brand, same store. Even more, after reading several reviews, I made a discovery. For one thing, the issue with shadow breaking seems to be a common issue with the Marc Jacob’s Palettes. Many reviews have had this happen to them. And, I don’t know who to be mad with! Marc Jacobs? Sephora? Furthermore, I really love Marc’sEye-ConicPalettes! So, what’s a girl to do?
THE BACK OF THE MARC JACOBS EXTRAVAGANCE PALETTE LIMITED GOLD EDITION
Anywhoo, you can find the Extravagance Eyeshadow Palette Gold Edition at Sephora, and on Marc Jacob’s Website. The Limited Edition Eye-Conic Gold Edition Extravagance Palette ( 7 x .04 oz./ 1.5g) costs $49.50.
The Extravagance Eyeshadow Palette Gold Edition Packaging
To start, the case isn’t like the case for the rest of the Eye-Conic Collection. Marc Jacobs Extravagance Gold Edition , a limited edition, won’t be in the permanent collection. Therefore, the packaging is different than the rest of the collection. The outside of the palette is also an extravagance! The reason is, the palette is a luxurious slim palette, with gold and black stripes.I must say, I love the slim shape of the compact because it is easy to take with you, in your handbag.
Once opened, there is a protective, shiny black plastic sheet that covers the eyeshadows. Furthermore, the case comes with a nice mirror. On the other side are the seven eyeshadow pans. One thing I love is the gold ball mechanism on the outside of the case. All you need to do is push it in and the case opens. And, to close the palette, just close the lid and wait til you hear a click.
The Formula For The Extravagance Eyeshadow Palette Gold Edition
THE INGREDIENTS IN THE EXTRAVAGANCE EYESHADOW PALETTE GOLD EDITION
To begin with, the Extravagance Eyeshadow Palette Gold Edition formula is the new and improved version of the original formula. First, the shadows have advanced pigments that create a true color payoff. As a result, the shadows are long-wearing. Then, the two shades with matte finishes have soft pigments that blend easily. Moreover, the mattes don’t have too much fallout. Then, the pressed glitter shadows are also easy to apply. If you think that some of the glitters go on too light, use your finger to apply them. All of the shadows feel like silky velvet to the touch. And, you can layer the shadows. Also, they blend easily. Finally, the shadows are long-lasting.
The Extravagance Eyeshadow Palette Gold Edition Limited Edition Shades
The color story easily translates from day to night. Also, there are neutral and amazing gold shades in the palette.
SWATCHES TOP TO BOTTOM: AT LAST, I HAVE, FOUND, THE ONE, THE ONLY, TRUE, LOVE
Even more, I love that the shadow names are actually the sentence “At Last, I Have, Found, The One, And Only, True, Love!
At Last
First, At Last, a bone shade, has a velvety matte finish. Not a lot of power pigments in this one. Use At Last as a highlight shade. Wear it on the inner corners of your eyes. Also, wear At Last on the brow bone. Even more, any black you see in the shadow is kick back from the palette. And, it was the black shade that came broken.
I Have
Next, I Have, a camel-taupey shade, has a velvety matte finish. Another light shade. You could wear this shade as a transition shade. Alore yer one of the try wearing it all over my eyelids, and crease. Then, I would put one of the sparling shades on top.
Found
Third, Found, a gold shade, has a shimmering satin finish. First, I would wear this golden shimmer all over my eyelids. Then, I would also wear this shade as a pop of color, in the center of my eyelids. Also, I’d wear one of the darker shades underneath, and wear the gold shade over it to create a new effect.
The One
Four, The One, an antique gold shade, has a metallic lame finish. Gorgeous shade, it looks almost wet. I would go for it with this shade, and wear it alone, all over my eyelids, and into my crease. Or, I’d love it on the inner and outer corners of a really dramatic eye! Finally, you can layer the lame metallic shades over the other textures to create a metallic finish! Definitely, wear this as a pop shade.
The Only
Next, The Only, dark, greenish-gold shade, has a metallic lame finish. Oh Boy! Love this shade. I think it is the star of this palette. Again, I would wear this shade all over my eyelids, in my crease, and on my lower lash lines. And, that’s it! Alright, I’d wear this as a pop shade.
True
Then, True, a bronze shade, has a shimmering satin finish. Beautiful as a crease shade! Also, use it to define the outer corners of your eyes. Because this shade is a deeper bronze, you can wear it underneath, or over any of the lighter shades.
Love
Last, Love, a charcoal grey shade, has a sparkling silk finish. I would wear this to define and line my eyes. This lovely shade of charcoal has bronze flecks in it. Therefore, it goes with any of the shades in the palette. So, use it as your liner. Line your lower lash line with Love. Even more, use it in the outer corners of your eyes to create a dramatic smokey eye.

My Final Thoughts On The Extravagance Eyeshadow Palette Gold Edition……
I love this palette! Of course I do! I love gold lame anything! I realize this palette came out as a summer palette. Yes, it does create some beautiful summer looks. However, I can’t wait to wear all of these shades in the fall. I really see it with all of the fall colors! Plus, it is more dramatic, which is more of a fall, or winter look.

There are a lot of ways to mix these shades. For example, you can apply the pop shades as a base shade. In this way, you are adding vibrance to any neutral shade. Or, you could layer the pop of color shades over the neutral shades if you want a burst of color. Another thing you can play with, dab a shiny satin shade on the center of your eyelids, then layer it, on top, with a pop of color.
