Although, it doesn’t feel like Spring is right around the corner. Hence, we’ll have to see what the groundhog has to say! Nevertheless, Spring will be here soon enough. Although, these new lipsticks are different because they have a new, glitter star core. Even more, the lipstick keeps your lips hydrated. Also, the star core gives the lipstick high shine, and a “sophisticated” sparkle. In addition, the Rock N’ Shine Lipstick has medium coverage. Above all, new YSL Lipstick comes in 8 shades.

YSL Rock N’ Shine Lipstick Packaging
First , the Rock N’ Shine Lipstick should only be as worthy as its packaging. For one thing, the outer packaging is metallic gold. In fact, this is pretty standard for a YSL outer box. Even more, the lipstick tube is where YSL spent their money.
It is silver, with a glitter-like effect lid. And, the YSLis in a circular gold thing that looks like it is a piece of jewelry. Even more, the YSL circles are on top of a coral orange stripe. In fact, the coral stripe looks like enamel. So, the packaging is a real eye-catcher.
Furthermore, the lipstick bullet has a small silver glitter star in the center. As a result, it gives makes the top of the lipstick bullet look special.
YSL Rock N’ Shine Lipstick Formula
To begin with, the formula includes Shea Butter. The reason for this is, Shea Butter contains vitamins A and E. And, A and E work to soothe and moisturize your skin. Next, Candllila Resin, forms a thin, protective layer. In addition, the layer helps to keep moisture in. Furthermore, it amplifies color and shine. Last, Apricot Kernel OE
Specifically, The star design gives your lips endless shine. Also, there are sparkling silver particles in the star. However, I can’t see them. The only silver particles that I see, that are sparkling are on the lids of the lipsticks.. Also included in the star shaped core are ” pearls.” to give you shine and shimmer. I can see the shine. Where is the shimmer? There is no glitter in the formula.
Actually, the lipstick is a “lipstick meets lip balm!” It is moisturizing. Therefore, it feels good on your lips. Also, it glides on like a lip balm. The shades look beautiful online. Don’t be deceived. You really do need to build the color with a lot of swipes.
Last, the lipsticks smell like watermelon. And, I am not sure whether that is a good thing, or a bad thing! I guess, if you like watermelon, then it is a good thing.

To start, the lipsticks come in 8 shades. I purchased 4 of them.
5 Rocking Coral
First, Rocking Coral, a peachy-coral shade, has a shiny, luminous finish.
6 Orange Speaker
Next, Orange Speaker, an orange-red shade, has a shiny, luminous finish.
8 Rocking Red
Furthermore, Rocking Red, a deep cheery shade, has a shiny luminous finish.
10 Pink Bass
Last, Pink Bass, a rose shade, has a shiny luminous finish.

1 Nude Solo
First, Nude Solo, a nude taupe shade, has a shiny, luminous finish.
2 Cacao Bounce
Second, Cacao Bounce, a burgundy berry shade, has a shiny, luminous finish.

Third, Pink Flow, a pink nude shade, has a shiny, luminous finish.
15 Gold Track
Fourth, Gold Track, a champagne shimmer shade, has a shiny, luminous finish.
YSL Rock N’ Shine Lipstick Last But Not Least……..
So, do I love it? NO. Do I like it? It’s o.k. Actually, it is a nice lip balm. And, it has color. In addition, for this time of year, freezing outside, hot forced heat inside, a colored lip balm isn’t so bad. Furthermore, it is good for every day wear. Now, the star core design? One thing for sure, it makes the lipstick bullet look pretty. And it is supposed to give you lots of endless shine. The outer part of the lipstick gives you your color. But, keep swiping to get the color you want. So, if you want a glossy balm instead of a stay all day lipstick, this could be your everyday go-to ! However, if you want a lipstick that hydrates your lips, and gives you color, and they are out there, then pass on this one.
