First, Gucci had a makeup brand. In fact, Pat McGrath was one of the directors for the makeup line. Furthermore, the line began in 2014. But, nobody knows where it went? Do you? Because, if you do, I’d love to know why it disappeared. Yes, by 2016, the Gucci Makeup Line suddenly vanished! Maybe it was on hiatus? Anywhoo, it disappeared out of nowhere four years ago. And now, four years have gone by, and guess what? Gucci Makeup Comeback! In other words, Gucc’si makeup reappeared, from out of nowhere! Even more, out of the woodwork, are 58 brand new Gucci lipsticks! In addition, the new Gucci Lipsticks come in three finishes: satin, sheer, and balmy. Each finish comes in its own special packaging.
I purchased five lipsticks, the Gucci Rouge a Levres Satin, that have a satin finish. I am not that into sheer lipsticks. And, I am not spending $42 for a lip balm! Also, 36 of the 58 lipsticks come in the satin finish. Even more, I love red lipstick! And, there were lots of reds, in the satin finish!
You can now find the Gucci Lipsticks on the Saks Fifth Avenue Website, Gucci’s Website and at Sephora. And, each lipstick costs $42.
Gucci Makeup Comeback 58 New Lipsticks: Packaging For Rouge a Levres Satin
Three different finishes, have three different packaging designs. Briefly, the the Sheer Rouge a Levres Voile, comes in a white tube with blossoming flowers on it. Next, the lip balm, Balme a Levres Lip Balm, comes in a Robbin’s Egg Blue tube. My favorite packaging is the Rouge a Levres Satin tube. First, the tube is gold.
Also, the tube design is from Alessandro Michele, Gucci’s current creative Director. Alessandro Michelle actually etched the art deco-inspired design onto the gold tube. I think it is the prettiest of all three tubes.
One last thing, the tube doesn’t have magnets, like most modern tubes have today. Instead, the top just snaps on. And, you turn the bottom for the lipstick to rise up. Then, turn the bottom in the opposite direction, and the lipstick will go down.
Gucci Makeup Comeback With 58 New Lipsticks : Formula For Rouge a Levres Satin
To start, the lipsticks come from Italy. The satin finish lipsticks have an emollient consistency. The pigments are rich, so the lipstick is opaque. Furthermore, the lipstick is creamy. The formula delivers a long-lasting satin finish. Additionally, it feels ultra-light, and has a moisturizing feel on the lips. Also, the formula is vegan. and, there is no silicone in the formula.
Above all, I love the super-satiny feel of the lipstick. Moreover, the lipsticks feel comfortable to wear. Also, once applied , for the most part, the lipstick stays put. Although, you do have some lipstick transfer on your coffee cup! Last, the lipstick has a violet scent. For one thing, the scent is not overwhelming. Two, once the lipstick is on, the scent goes away! Therefore, I don’t mind that for a second, you smell the violet scent.
Gucci Makeup Comeback With 58 New Lipsticks : Shades For Rouge a Levres Satin
First, the names of the shades are names of old Hollywood Actresses, and themes from these movie classics.
Again, there are 58 shades in the Gucci Lipstick Collection. 4 shades are Lip Balms, both clear and tinted. Next, there are 18 sheer shades in the collection. In addition, 36 of the shades have a satin finish. These shades range from nudes, to reds, and pinks.
Shade 302 Agatha Orange
First, Agatha Orange, a vivid orange red shade, has a satin finish. The shades are so emollient, you can also wear them on your cheeks.
Agatha Orange would look great on your cheeks, if you had a sun tan. It looks amazing on the lips. Also, the reason I love this shade is it brings brightness to my face.
Shade 401 Three Wise Girls
To start, Three Wise Girls, an intense pinky red shade, has a satin finish. Three Wise Girls is the theme of a classic movie. Also, this pinky red shade looks great on the lips. Although, you can wear it on your eyes. All you need is a tiny bit of the color, and then sheer it out.
Furthermore, you can wear Three Wise Girls on . your cheeks! It would make a really great blush shade. And, don’t forget, the satin lipsticks are emollient, so they look dewy on the skiIN.
Shade 500 Odalie Red
To begin with, Odalie Red , a vivid red shade, has a satin finish. Odalie is a character in books by Diane Palmer. In fact, I have no idea what, who, or where Odalie came from. If you do, please let me know! However, what I do know is this vivid shade of red is gorgeous on the lips.
You could wear some on the apples of your cheeks. Remember to sheer it out!
Shade 503 Teresina Ruby
First of all, I have no idea who, what or which film classic is Teresina Ruby? I am not a big classic film watcher! Although, the shade Teresina Ruby, a ruby red shade, has a satin finish. Since Ruby is my birthstone, I am partial to this ruby shade. I love it on the lips. However, it would look great as a blush.
So, give this one a try and wear it on your cheeks. Then, try a drop of it for a flush on your eyes. I think it will give you a pretty effect, worn on your eyes.
Shade 600 The Fallen Sparrow
Finally, I know one. The Fallen Sparrow is a movie that stars Maureen O’Hara, from the 1940’s. Furthermore, The Fallen Sparrow, a pinky red plum shade, has a satin finish.
This shade looks great on the lips. Also, I like it on the cheeks. Above, all, if you decide to wear one of these shades on your eyes, this is the one. It is a gorgeous shade. And, it is not too bright!
Gucci Makeup Comeback 58 New Lipsticks Last But Not Least……..
To begin with, starting in February 2020, I think Gucci Lipsticks will be in Sephora Stores. Although, for now, I am glad to be able to purchase them online.
Even more, I am thrilled that Gucci Makeup has been revived. I hope this time it stays. I’ve heard that Gucci is planning to expand the brand to include a lot of new products. I’ll keep you posted. for now, I think I’m going to surprise someone with a Gucci Lipstick or two for the holidays. I think that it will make a great gift!
