I’m the first one in line to get the Holiday Blush palettes. First of all, these blush palettes have lots of blush shades. Second, the loaded with blush palettes only come out once a year. Sadly, for me, because I love blush, they only appear once a year. And, that is during the holidays! The Jouer Rose Cut Gems Blush Palette is a once and done holiday palette. For one thing, the blush shades are the colors of gem stones. Furthermore, there are six blush shades in the palette. Four of the shades are brand new. Two of the shades already exist in the Jouer Collection.
Above all, the thing that really sets this palette apart from other holiday blush palettes is this one features a Cheek Topper. Moreover, this is no ordinary cheek topper. Instead, this cheek topper is the first of its kind! The reason is, the new Cheek Topper adds extra sparkle to the six blushes. As a result, the Cheek Topper takes the blushes from matte and satin to glittering razzle dazzle!

To start, “indented” gemstones cover the front of the outer box. Furthermore, the palette is cardboard. I love that the cover of the palette has 3D gemstones on it. In fact, they look like they are coming out of the palette. Moreover, palette isn’t in a high quality plastic case. At first, I felt disappointed. Although, I guess its worth it, to cut back on the higher end packaging. In this way, it helps to cut down the price of the palette. And, that’s a good thing!
Inside, the palette has a nice, large mirror. Also, the blush pans, cut like gemstones, are in keeping with the theme of the palette. Finally, the three warm blush shades are on the left of the palette. In the center, the largest shade, is the Cheek Topper. Then, the three cool-toned blushers are on the right side of the palette.

The key ingredient in the Rose Cut Gem Blush Formula is Vitamin E. One reason is, Vitamin E provides the formula with antioxidant benefits. Moreover, Vitamin E helps promote healthy-looking skin. The reason is, Vitamin E acts as a natural conditioner. Also included in the ingredients, Mica, a mineral, adds shimmer to makeup. Titanium dioxide, also a naturally occurring mineral, is a white opaque color that has the ability to refract light. As a result, Titanium Dioxide is used, in cosmetics, as a pigment, a brightener, or an opacifier. In other words, it makes the formula opaque. . Also, it is a UV filter. Therefore, it is an effective, active ingredient in sunscreens.
For one thing, the blush in the pan looks more pigmented than when you apply them to your cheeks. Although, the formula’s rich pigments are buildable. The blush feels like velvety smooth on your skin. Also, the formula is easy to blend.

The 4 New Shades
First, Crystalline, a warm caramel shade, has a matte finish. Furthermore, I love that Crystalline gives you a blush-toned bronze look. Next, Garnet, a cool deep burgundy shade, has a satin finish. Also, Garnet is the darkest shade in the palette. Moreover, the full-pigmented deep burgundy shade gives your cheeks a blushed flush! In addition, Peach Quartz, a warm peach shade, has a satin finish. Additionally, Peach Quartz has more of a pink tone. Last, Royal Jewel, a cool bright pink shade, has a satin finish. Don’t let Royal Jewel scare you. It may look intimidating in the pan. However, on your cheeks, it is a gorgeous pink shade!
The 2 Existing Shades
First, Tease Me, a cool, light pink shade, has a satin finish. Also, Tease Me is a shade that can be found in Jouer’s Blush Coquette Palette. Finally, Kiss Me, a warm carnation pink shade, has a matte finish. Also, Kiss Me looks more pigmented in the palette than it does on your cheeks. Finally, Kiss Me can be found in the Jouer Blush Bouquet Flirt Palette.
The Cheek Topper/Highlighter Shade
Diamond In The Rough, the new Cheek Topper Shade, is a warm champagne gold, that has glitter in it! Also, it is the first of its kind. It will add extra dazzle to the six gem-inspired satin and matte blush. This won’t be your everyday highlighter. Instead, this Cheek Topper/Highlighter is perfect for the Holidays! For one thing, it is really glittery. In addition, you can use it as a highlighter, by itself. In this way, I would use it by itself on the inner corners of my eyes for extra sparkle. Also, I would put Diamond on the Rough on the highest points of my face. For example, I would put it on my upper cheek bones. Also, I would put it down the center of my nose. Next, I would put a drop on my cupid’s bow. Then, I would use some on my brow bones.
On the other hand, if you want to add extra sparkle to your blush, you can use Diamond In The Rough on top of any of the blushers.
Tips To Apply the Jouer Cut Gems Blush Palette
To begin with, if you want vivid dimension, swipe a deep matte shade . under your cheekbones. Them, put a lighter, satin shade on top of your cheekbones. Last, use Diamond In the Rough as a highlighter, to highlight your best features.
Also, you can select your blush shade, and using a blush brush, lightly sweep on the powder. Then, apply the blush, with the brush, on the apples of your cheeks. Then, if you want an extra sparkle, and vivid dimension, top off your blush with the Cheek Topper!
Jouer Rose Cut Gems Blush Palette Last But Not Least…….
I love the Cheek Topper so much, I’d also use it on my eyelids. Even more, after I’ve applied lipstick, I would dab some Diamond In The Rough on the center of my lips, or all over my lips (on top of my lipstick!) . As a result, your lips will be glittery!
