Juvia’s Place is an indie cosmetics brand that creates vibrant, colorful eye shadow and blush shades. And, the inspiration came from Africa for the Juvia’s eye shadow and blush palettes. Specifically, what inspires the colorful , intense hues of Juvia’s palette, are the intense, vibrant colors of various African tribes and their seasonal festivals. As a result,, the new Juvia’s Place Festival Collection includes an eye shadow palette with nine shades, and two liquid lipsticks. In fact, this is the first time Juvia’s Place created matte liquid Lipsticks. (take a peak at the eye shadow palette ($21), and the liquid lipsticks($19 set) ($12 Each) here.)
Other eye shadow palettes from Juvia are The Saharan 11, and The Magic. I am a huge fan of these palettes. First, the colors and their finishes are gorgeous. Next, the shadows feel soft, and buttery. And, rich pigments create the vibrant shadows. Last, the prices are too good to be true! So let’s get started.
Juvia’s Place Festival Collection Packaging
Festival Eye Shadow Palette

The vibrant orange-background of compact is eye catching. So is the tribal picture of a man and woman in their festival attire.
JUVIA’S PLACE FESTIVAL COLLECTION-EYE SHADOW COMPACT
The compact is cardboard. It is thick and sturdy. To open the compact, simply lift up the lid.
The same picture on the cover of the palette, is on the underside as well. Instead of the same picture twice, I would have loved a mirror. But, I can’t complain. The background of the eye shadow pans is shiny and jet black. Hence, the nine colorful shadows pop! Additionally, the nine shadows are in their own pans. The pans are extra-large!
Festival Liquid Lipstick
JUVIA’S PLACE FESTIVAL COLLECTION LIQUID LIPSTICK PACKAGING
The Liquid Lipstick comes in a rectangular version of the eye palette box. It has an orange mirrorED vibe In addition, it has the same festival tribal picture of a man and woman. They are both in festival attire.
JUVIA’S PLACE FESTIVAL COLLECTION LIQUID LIPSTICK TUBE
The tube is that of a lip gloss tube.
JUVIA’S PLAACE LIQUID LIPSTICK WITH FLOCKED APPLICATOR
Also, it has a slightly bent, flocked , footed applicator.

JUVIA’S PLACE FESTIVAL COLLECTION EYE SHADOWS
Festival Eye Shadow Palette Formula
There are two different textures. Five of the shadows have a matte finish. First of all, they are the creamiest matte eye shadows. And, they feel super-soft. Furthermore, they are not chalky. Most of all, they don’t kick up powder. They blend easily. Also, they are extremely long-lasting .

Next, , the other four shadows are shimmery. Again, they are smooth and soft. Also they are so easy to apply. And, the shades blend and layer well. The shades have a lot of pigment, and are bold and vivid.
Festival Liquid Lipstick
The texture of the liquid lipstick is a liquid, matte finish. The formula is lightweight and creamy. Therefore, it is super comfortable on the lips. Furthermore, you will have about a minute til dry-down time. Hence, you will be able to clean up your mistakes!

And, the formula is long-lasting,. However, the color fades throughout the day. Although, the color fades evenly on your lips. Therefore, you are not blotchy! Most of all, the formula is not drying on the lips. Yipppeeee!
Juvia’s Place Festival Collection Shades
Juvia’s Place Festival Collection Festival Eye Shadow Palette Matte Finish
Izafa
Izafa us a deep, pigmented blue-red. Also it is a bright red shade. And, it has a matte finish.
I recommend using this shade as part of your outer crease color. Or, be daring and line your upper and lower lash-lines with Izafa.
Ofala
Ofala is a burnt-orange shade. It has a matte finish.
First, Ofala looks brighter in the pan than it does on your skin. Actually, it is really pretty, either as a shadow, crease color, or to line your lash lines. However, I would also use it as a blush, or on my lips.
Mmanwu
Mmanwu looks tangerine-orange in the pan. However, it is a more subtle , peach shade on the skin. Therefore, I love it on the eye lids. Also, wear it in your crease!
Iri Ji
Iri Ji looks neon pink in the pan. However, it is a buildable pink shade. Therefore, it builds from light to intense. I love this shade on the eye lids, in the crease, and in the upper crease of the outer eye edge. Moreover, I love this shade as a blush, or lip shade.
Oro
Oro looks like yellow mustard in the pan. However, it is more of a butterscotch color on the skin. First of all,. this shade isn’t as funky as you think. Especially now, when yellow shades are in, I would wear this on my eye lids. Or mixed with Odogwu, it becomes a foiled-finished, deep golden shade. This looks great as a highlighter ANYWHERE!

Juvia’s Place Festival Collection Festival Eye Shadow Palette Shimmer Finish
Uli
Uli looks like the shimmering full moon. It is an amazing highlighter for the cheeks, and eyes. Also, it would look great on your eye lids. Last, I love it over your lipstick to give your lips a pop!
Keleke
Keleke is a satiny gunmetal shimmer. I recommend wearing it to create a smoky eye. Also, use it as a crease color. Furthermore, you can use it as a liner. Hence, line your upper and lower lash lines with it.
Aba
Aba is a gorgeous shade of blue turquoise that has a shimmery, satin finish. This is a great shade on your eyelids. Also, I love this in the summer to line my eyes. When I tried the shade on my eye lids, I carried the color up to include the crease.
Odogwu
Odogwu is a gold shade of shimmer that has a foiled finish. Another great highlighter, I would use it on the cheeks, and eyes. I would also wear this as a shadow for a metallic eye.

Soil is a matte terracotta color. I purchased soil because the second shade just wasn’t for me!
Dudu
Unfortunately, I did not purchase Dudu. However, it is an almost black shade with a hint of brown in it.
