My monthly subscription, the Ipsy Bag for August 2017, arrived the other day in a Gold Foiled Envelope.
August’s cosmetic pouch was filled with lots of goodies.

Last month, after receiving July’s subscription bag, I answered some questions about the bag to “make my next one better.” I remember asking for more makeup products in my bags, and a little bit of skin care. Even a makeup brush would be nice. I explained that I love color, and would like to receive makeup from new brands. Well, that is kind of what was in my August Ipsy Bag. I received one skincare product, an eye cream from a brand I do not know, called Air Repair. I was excited that I received a Winky Lux concealer, because I had just learned a lot about the brand at BeautyCon Brooklyn in May, and had purchased some of their products. And I received a sample eye shadow from The Balm, which I like, but I usually get something from them in my monthly bags. The WOW products for me were a makeup brush, and two blushers from a company that is also new to me, named Pacifica. So Let’s Get Started:

The cosmetic case is nice, and I like the slogan, :Good Vibes Only,” mostly because it is nice to be reminded that Good Vibes is a Good , Positive advice for all of us to be reminded of from time to time! It came at a good time for me, how about you? Inside the case was:

Air Repair, a brand made for flight attendants, who lose a lot of moisture in the high altitude of airplanes, and need to hydrate and replenish their skin with moisture. The Eye Cream diminishes fine lines, reduces puffiness, and hydrates the delicate skin around your eye area.

The ingredients include aloe, allantoin, and a combination of antioxidants-vitamin C properties, cloudberry seed oil and Green Tea extract.

Here is a swatch of the eye cream. The product is a deluxe sample, because a teensy weensy amount goes a long, long way.

Pacifica is a cruelty free brand who infuses coconut and other ingredients, such as wild rose, into their products.

The shades are tenderheart and beaming. They both have pink undertones.

On me the shade on the left is way too light, and is really only good for someone who has a fair to light complexion. the shade on the right is beautiful rosy-pink shade that would look good on everybody.

The camel shade is way too light for people with medium, tan and dark complexions. I consider this a full-sized product. It includes the two blushes, and when you turn the compact over……….

The back of the compact is your mirror.

Winky Lux Peeper Perfect is a creamy concealer that corrects imperfections with full coverage. Once it is on, it stays put, 24/7. The brand is cruelty free.

The sample I consider a deluxe sample because you need so little to conceal, this sample should last a while.

This cover is deceiving, because it is showing us the Balm Voyage Compact, Volume 2. The Voyage compact has eleven shades of products to do a full face. Upon opening the sample…..

on the left are travel pictures, and on the right is an eyeshadow, Willkommen, that can also be used as a liner. The color Willkommen is a carmel brown.

The formula is triple milled pigments with anti-aging ingredients included in the formula.

Again, the sample is deceptive. What they are really having you sample is the eyeshadow, Willkommen, which is just one of eleven shades in the Voyage Volume 2 Palette. The sample is probably considered deluxe because of the extensive book-like presentation, and the artwork. So, they spent more on the sample’s packaging than the actual eyeshadow! I looked on the internet and the sample sells anywhere from over six dollars down to three dollars. Wow! Six dollars for that? I am glad it is just one product in my Ipsy bag, that costs ten dollars. If you received this sample, you got lucky, you may have saved six dollars!
And finally….

An Ipsy Shadow Blending Brush, in Unicorn Style, and synthetic bristles. It is a great brush, and we can all use another blending brush.
All in all, I liked this Ipsy bag the best so far because it had way more products that I am interested in than any of the others. If you are interested in the Ipsy Monthly Subscription Bag For $10 a month (Click Here).
