This is a first for us all! Makeup lovers of the world Get Ready For This News! Pat McGrath is world renown for her makeup artistry on the runways, in print,and on Movie Stars.
She is also sometime makeup creator of “limited run” makeup products, where the demand is far greater than the supply, and the products sell out within minutes, even seconds of their on-line launches, and her website undoubtedly crashes almost immediately from so many of us trying to get through, making it nearly impossible for everyone to get there hands on these limited editions -unless you were very lucky. Pat McGrath has spent the past two years, secretly in the developing process of creating a beauty brand that is so much more grandiose than her single product launches. Finally, she has broadened her range to allow for a permanent range of products to coexist with her limited edition launches. Yaye!
Pat has archives filled with all of the product shades she has used for her editorials , fashion runway shows. and Stars over the past twenty years or so. These colors are her trademark, and the archive shades were the muses for the unlimited, permanent collection.
The packaging is meticulous. The outer packaging is affixed with 4 gold seals. PM for Pat McGrath, L for Labs, a crown, and a lip, eye or eye with a lashine graphic that corresponds to each category.
Most exciting for me are Pat’s Mothership Eye Shadow Palettes. There are three different compacts in the permanent collection , and each of the compacts contains 10 gorgeous shadows. The colors range from nudes, to saturated golds, metallic blues, to greens and pinks. Each Mothership Eyeshadow Palette has a beveled mirror, a slick mirrored brass underside, and outer packaging in what appears to be a tied up envelope, or folder, and written on the outside of the packaging is six lines of engraved text that reads:
Pat MCGrath Labs, Mothership, Use Caution, Shade Throwing, and Eye Ecstasy, May Result with Prolonged Use, MMSVII.

Sublime: Iconic Illuminator
Subversive: Obsessive Opulence
The Mothership Eyeshadow Palettes will sell for $125 each.
I love her lipstick formula, which is as high-end as Chanel, and Tom Ford. There are 9 shades of Matte Trance Lipstick. There are 31 shades of Luxe Trance Lipstick. They will sell for $38 each.
There will be 5 shades of Permagel Ultra Glide Eye Pencils for $25.
There will be 11 Permagel Ultra Glide Lip Pencils for $25.
Pat’s Dark Star Mascara in black will sell for $28.
Pat creates her eyeshadows to be funky and decadent. She wants us to channel our makeup artist within, and let loose and be creative with them. Here are some of her iconic creations.
McGrath is a major player and influencer in the beauty/fashion world. She insists that simple, bold statement makeup is IN. Her Collection Launches on PATMCGRATHLABS.COM on September 16 – just in time for Fall 2017! The new unlimited line will also be sold at certain Sephora stores and at SEPHORA.COM beginning October 6.
